I'm quite intrigued by Blicavs, I don't think I'll end up with him, but I believe it is worth noting that in his breakout year, he had a floor of just 71, in 21 games. So many breakout options have a dud game, but as an owner last year, there was never anything to complain about. Not a bad ceiling either, 153 it was last season. Half of his games he passed the ton, and is clearly on track to better that this year - regardless of whether or not the Cats have won or lost, always a good sign.

Plenty of positives for mine.

@MC, pies had 3 players go 115+ back in the day and swans have titch, Parker, hanners, Jpk, McVeigh, buddy usually all scoring well. Heck, even Smartin,rocky and beams go ok and they play for a way worse team. There's no reason that a strong Geelong side can't have 3 players in the top 10, and I think Blicavs is sill a very good chance to outscore Selwood in total points scored.

@Doc, I don't believe there has been more than usual? Eddie Betts, Tex, Waite, Fyfe, Pendles all had big games to start the year and that's off the top of my head without actually looking it up. I'm sure this years 12 big scores is still in the same ballpark region as last year. I'm happy to look it up if you really want.

Don't worry. The discussion about Hall is 20 times bigger than this and people still have doubts so can't see a stack of people jumping on yet

Cheers PB for the awesome graph. I don't doubt he'll be a solid contributer, in fact I think he can average 105-110 for the season, making him a viable M7/8 candidate.

My query is that given most of us have started 5 premo mid options, can Blicavs be locked in as a 6th at this early stage given that he is priced at a premium 575k? I personally grab those mids that crop up every year that get an early injury/substantial discount for low 500s a touch later in the season. Priddis a couple of years back scored in single digits when he got concussed in the first quarter, I picked him up for 500k a few weeks later, i'm certain something similar will happen this year.

I don't know how to access HOTA. If I did, I would be all over it! I just use the stats from FanFooty though coz I'm loyal to m0nty ;)
