In all seriousness though, he's 33. He's averaged 14 games /season for the past 5 years. Best ever season of 98 in 2008 (8 years ago!).

If you thought somehow he could go 18/100 for the season, beating all the odds... That means from here until the end he gets 15/92 and you're paying what, 50k less than Dusty/Zorko/Dahlhaus... 

More likely he hits that 90-95 range for the season, and goes 15/82 from here.

Please don't get caught chasing last week's points that are long gone.

Not really chasing points when Danger is a proven big scorer, but I like your trades.

Is there anyone else you could trade instead of Barlow?

I'm thinking about the McCarthy > Ruggles trade too, but McCarthy getting dropped has be a bit worried.

Can't really answer that but having seen the game I was super impressed with Ruggles and I think his DE and 1%'s is more to Scott's liking. I didn't think McCarthy deserved to be dropped but it's clear he's losing steam in the second half of the game, my hunch is it's all about fitness at this stage.

Aside from that I really want to get rid of Crouch and I suspect Selwood won't be this cheap again for quite some time. With Danger in the mix you can really see him lifting a notch or two, and there's a lovely run ahead with Essendon, Port, GC, WC at home, Adelaide, Collingwood & Carlton.

Mccarthy being dropped has shaken my line up a bit in the sense that I wasn't going to make any trades. I usually would never trade a player out with a negative BE for a player coming into his second game but it affords me the opportunity to upgrade longergan for anyone under 600k. Drop Mccarthy for Ruggles, then Longergan for preferably a fwd or mid. The main candidates at the moment are zorko, dahl, s.mitchell, joey, and selwood. Is my finger being a bit too itchy or do you think it could pay off? I'm playing in an expensive cash league for overall points so I need to be aggressive unlike the past seasons.

McCarthy could be out for some time, that's the risk you take. I usually wouldn't advise trading a bloke out with a negative BE but Crouch has to go and a guy like Selwood could easily hit 630k if he returns to his regular form, let's not forget from 2009-2014 Selwood never dipped below 110 for the season.

Three options for me
1) Crouch to Parish + Barlow to Hall
2) Crouch to Ruggles upgrade Barlow to Any Prem Mid
3) Crouch to Ruggles bank 200K

My biggest Problems at the moment are Crouch and Barlow, to a lesser extent my poor scoring rookies in Mills who i'll look to downgrade next week.
