Who's the better long term pick out of Hall & Parker?? Hall will be a top 6 forward but will Parker be a top 8 mid??

Also, Hall is projected to rise another 40k. Don't think he'll ever be under 500k again tbh. Parker projected to rise about 15k. I can't decide!
I actually don't think Hall will be a top 6 forward, nor will Parker be a top 8 mid. Doesn't mean they are bad picks though.

You would be winning the comp if you had the top players in every position...gotta go with value and gut, and hope they hold strong as a solid keeper.

Yep, that's why I am considering JPK. 570k and is a proven premium. I have my doubts whether he will be top 8, but he's the best I can afford and I need to start making up some ground.

1. Im super confident in this call that hall wont be a top 6 forward from here on out.
2. I think he will be under 500k again (have posted in the hall various reasons why not)
3. I think Parker can push top 8 mids.

Parker is playing in a great team in a great role and is a great player in a team that wont change too much. Hall is playing in a average at best team, currently in a great role but with lots of changes to the team structure and im calling him an above average player at best.

Only difference I see with JPK and Parker who are similarly priced, Parker will compete no matter what, Kennedy will rest when the games won.

I feel like I'm slipping too far behind so am thinking of these 2 trades ...
Crouch > Hall   (and)   S Grey > Docherty via dpp
appreciate opinions please on whether I'm really just wasting trades that don't have to be done.

Ringo

Do not worry too much about slipping behind early as a good week will move you up substantially.  You should not trade for the sake of trading to a player who is the only one you can afford.  It is much better to wear it for a week or 2 and then get the player you want. TBH with your trades I would do Crouch to Hall but do not see a lot of benefit in Gray to Docherty.

Remember we have 30 trades so you have to decide how to use them.  Ideally you will have 6 available for finals (if you need them to make finals use).  That leaves 24 and I usually rely on 16 for upgrades/downgrades and 8 corrective/injury trades. that is the ideal but did not work last year because of injuries.

I think Hall proved last year he can score in a losing side and with the bar for forwards being significantly lower, I can't see how he could be considered a bad pick. As for Parker, great pick, especially if you started him (I was tempted myself but opted for Pendles).

When deciding whether to jump on the Hall bandwagon people should dig up some of the Robbie Gray threads, I see the same scenario playing out. Sometimes players just click after a few years in the system, the forward line has been littered with such examples.

Hey guys, I have posted on this thread and have been reading it all week and I have come to 3 conclusions and was wondering if anyone could shed a bit of light as to which option is the best. PLEASE HELP!!!

Option 1) Crouch > Weitering and Sam Gray > Zaharakis
Option 2) Crouch > Hartley and Sam Gray > Any mid I want (Robbie Gray/Selwood/Zorko)
Option 3) Rampe > Weitering and Sam Gray > Sam Mitchell (Hold Crouch)

Your thoughts are greatly appreciated, as always.

I would take option 2 out of those, i just see more value out of Robbie Gray then i do Zaha.

Thanks mate! The only problem I have with Option 2 is that it means I have to play one of Davis/Menadue/Hartley/McDT/Brown of Hewett so my points per round will suffer I bit until rookies are enough to downgrade and upgrade to get a premo in! Tough choice ai!

It is very speculative that about Hall. What hard evidence is there so far to suggest 1) Gold Coat are only an average team? 2) Hall's role will change? 3) He will get tagged?

Yes they have had 3 comfortable wins and will have another one this weekend but maybe we are underestimating the Suns.

When do JOM and Swallow come back? I don't see JOM or Swallow returning till the middle of the season at the earliest. Swallow may not be back at all this season it is a really bad injury.

JOM 99% will leave the suns at the end of the year to move to Victorian club so do you play him in the midfield or give that spot to a Lonergan or a Miller?

The suns have a good draw and all the attention goes to Ablett (understandably) so I cannot see Hall getting tagged. He is one of the fittest players in the comp and runs all day, so with the new interchange rules he will only be benefited in being able to get more uncontested ball. I was at the Gold Coast V Carlton game  on the weekend no Carlton player could keep up with him, they were all completely stuffed after 1/2 time in typically difficult conditions for the non Queensland teams to play in.

He could drop, but in my mind he will continue to score well, likely not to be tagged and the new interchange rules will only help him later in the season. Very happy to have him in my team.

And the suns could well play finals on what I have seen so far. Have been impressive, albeit against rubbish opposition.

I definitely think that Parker will average more than Hall and I would get him in for sure however IMO Hall is more likely to end in the top 6 forwards than parker in the top 8 mids and by a considerable margin.

Okay, please please please give me some advice here

Three options

1. T. Mackenzie -> Houli +$106k
2. T. Mackenzie -> JJ + B. Crouch -> Hall
