What is your thoughts on Zaharakis and potentially being a keeper M8??

Avg. 33 touches and 133 SC

In a very under strengthed side someone needs to get the points... (also Merrett)
And I'm thinking that no teams will bother with a hard tag all year against Essendon so could he continue playing loose & racking up these numbers..
105-110avg??

Yes and yes.

I'm opting for Zerrett simply because I think he's a better chance for the top 6 forwards than Zaha is for the top 8 mids.

But $400k for someone who'll be a strong M8 if he stays on the park... sounds great.

if he was a fwd i would have him in but as a mid i just don't think he can crack top 10

Southstorm

He won't be a top 10 mid, but if he goes on to average 105 for the rest of the year, that's good enough for M8 at his price. You can't be too pedantic about not choosing top 10 players because the chances are you won't have them anyway. I've never had more than 8 of the top 10 at seasons end in seven or more years of serious supercoach.

He doesn't have to be a top10 mid for me... Avg.105 for $400k as a M8 keeper is ideal!
Rocky to Zaha and pocket $150k.. Sounds good to me!!

G'day Lads. Just another week of Fantasy Footy Ai!

I wanted to start a thread to hear your thoughts on David Zaharakis. I want to bring him in because that way I feel I am getting the maximum amount of points out of my team, but I just don't know if I can trust him. Yes he's got a few things going for him - Best mid in an undermanned team, had a great preseason and already has an average of 120, but I feel like I am using another 2 trades and my team isn't going anywhere. If I were to select him, it would it be as a keeper or a potential keeper but probable late upgrade. If it is the latter, I need to remind myself that I only get his points from here on end, not his 130's in the first 2 rounds.

Basically, I have got it down to 3 structural options for trades his week. 1 that includes him, and 2 that done. Here they are:

Option 1) Crouch > Weitering and Sam Gray > Zaharakis
This way I have 2 potential keepers and players that will rise in price over the next few weeks.
Option 2) Crouch > Hartley and Sam Gray > Any mid I want (Robbie Gray/Selwood/Zorko)
Not sure about Hartley's JS and if I opt with these trades, then I have to play one of McDT/Hartley/Menadue/Davis or Hewett
Option 3) Rampe > Weitering and Sam Gray > Sam Mitchell (Hold Crouch)
This trade means I hold Crouch for another week and have to play rookies (even though I can loophole) for a couple more if I want to hold him until he returns.

Please leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on which option in your opinion is the best. All thoughts are appreciated. Until next week!

I love Zaha but I'm not convinced he will end up being a top 10-15 midfielder, hence I am not considering him.

If you think he can average 105 for the rest of the season he could be a good M9 pick come the end of the season.

Having trouble understanding the interest in Essendon players over 180k myself  :P

Maybe because Zacka is averaging 122 and Merrett 115?

The points don't lie!
