I'm purely outlining why people complaining about him being dropped and saying Ross Lyon has no clue are completely off the mark. Believe it or not, players can have a poor AFL game and still score well in fantasy!

havent watched a freo game so cant cooment but those 2 weeks where he went big in SC.

33 touches 15 contested 8 tackles 75% effeciency
32 touches 13 contested 13 TACKLES!!! 75% effeciency.

Anyone could used that on their team.

he is averaging 7 tackles a game (5th in the AFLfor 3 or more games) thats good intensity.

All fair enough if he went back and did stuff all in the WAAFL.

Well if they determined he wasn't contributing enough to the AFL team internally, why should what he does in the WAFL matter when justifying his exclusion from the team?

Btw, its WAFL. Barlow would be expected to get at least 60 touches in the WAAFL

You can't pluck out two games though and claim a spot is safe. When you're trying to breed a competitive culture you need to make a point that every player is playing for their spot on the list every week.

The game before he got dropped against the Giants, Barlow had a grand total of 3 kicks... No where near the mark for an accumulating midfielder.

All well and good, but at the end of the day tackles don't equate to goals which is what wins you football matches. I know where you're coming from Holz and I don't think he's done by any means. I'm just outlining why its not ridiculous for Freo to be doing what they're doing.

not playing hawks in tassie yeah that ok they were never going to win.

they have tigers who i would tip with barlow. even if he comes in next week i would always be worried he is gone. i no longer have him as a problem he got 90 average for me missed one game thats not terrible. cost me a trade but didnt lose any cash.
