I personally think he was dropped for a few reasons.

1)  Game is in Tasmania against Hawks - why take one of your oldest guys on the longest road trip, risk him getting injured against a game they are going to lose, let a youngster get an extra game in him and some travel time on the boards
2) Play him WAFL to get some form and confidence back

I think he'll be back next week better for the break and banging on a 100 average for the rest of the year.  Was unusual that the teams said omitted rather than rested, but I've come to the conclusion that if they said rested it would look dodgy that he was playing WAFL.  They call me the voice of reason.  ;)

Yeah, kind of agree.

If the team sheets said Pavlich, Barlow and Dawson all rested when they already have Fyfe, Sandilands, Johnson out, I reckon there would be questions coming from the AFL.

Why would they put him down as being rested when he isn't. He's been dropped, that's all it is. Gone!

A run in the WAFL isn't a rest haha. It's been a long time coming let's be honest. I thought this would happen in round 3! Not round bloody 8. Strange.

I think he will be back next week. If not - traded.

Uh…because if they say he's rested they can't play him the WAFL…  ::)

I stated the reasons why I think he's not playing this week, yes he's been omitted, but if they were a 50/50 to win then he'd play for sure. Again, he's not going to fly all the way to Tassie for no reason, plus he still gets to have a game on the weekend.

agree its probably done to motivate him. they have 5 games they could win after this so why not tell him to lift his game and come out and try to win some games they have a shot at. If he isnt in next week he is gone.
