He is an inside mid and has been played OOP basically for a bit over a season.

Now they have been exposed in the mids in the last 2 weeks logic says you put him in the guts and see how he goes, not play him up forward where he basically has no clue.

I'm sticking with him hoping that Ross has a brain.

im trading him out because i trade hard.

however if he ever looks like staying in his proper role then he comes right back in.

Remember this is a man who averaged 115 in his first season on track to win a brownlow.

he certainly has the game to go 100+ if played in the right position.

I'm thinking I might hold, at least give him another few weeks. Even last year playing that strange forward role he still averaged 93, but Fremantle couldn't be playing any worse at the moment so surely he'll be back in the mids. Must win game this week.

They are playing him out of position because they don't need him to extract the ball anymore Neale,Fyfe,Mundy can do that, otherwise he would already be in the midfield. This will be Barlow's last season at Freo whether they trade him or w/e.
So we are hoping that they put a guy back in the guts who they clearly don't want in the guts just because they have nowhere else to play him and then return to the same structure/game plan that is getting them nowhere to save face and win a few games....
This all scares me.

Absolutely! That's why he's playing this CHF role. Because Bennell has been out. Now that he's out even longer I fear Barlow could be playing this role a little longer  :-\
