What strategy do you guys use for Draftstars given the restrictive salary cap?

Do you go for 3-4 heavy hitters and then fill the rest with really cheap guys, or do you select more of the $10-$12k price range players?

^ This.  For example Dea is dirt cheap at 5K and can score a very serviceable amount.  Also look for good match ups for players.  I try to go as cheap as I can in the forward and defence line and depending on match ups I'll either take a good matchup in the rucks, or a cheapie like Currie this week and load up on who I think will be the top 4 mids.

I've cashed in 11 of 13 games I've played and I've gone with 2 cheap defenders (as in sub 7k) and either one forward or mid that's also under 7k. Then I look for a bargain priced ruck that's not crappy, usually between 7-11k. Fill the rest up with 12-16k players and you're good to go

It is how much you'd win if the game ended right there and then.

Had Fyfe in most of my teams this week. Would've definitely won some money if he hadn't of got injured as the rest of my selections generally went well. Now it's touch and go :(

$545 week rake off a $105 outlay, very happy with that.  Best result was 3rd place in the 5K Final Siren Breakaway.  ;D

Nice work, I only started with $50 and have slowly built up from there.
