R2, 2015, North Melbourne 20.13 (133) d Brisbane Lions 7.9 (51) at Etihad Stadium

R16, 2013, Brisbane Lions 18.9 (117) d North Melbourne 17.3 (105) at the Gabba

Lions had a tough time against the Eagles on the weekend,Josh Kennedy proved a big problem for their defenders, they should get Merrett back for this match after he was a late out last weekend, they also regain Zorko after his suspension but lose Robinson to a calf injury will be a tough ask to get over North but stranger things have happened and we know North can sometimes come out as Norf but I expect them to beat the Lions this week.

Lions have the wood over North at the Gabba with ledger sitting at 13 - 5. With Sauce returning to organise defence expecting more run of HB.  Lions will also want a very strong performance at home to keep their fans happy.  Our membership is up compared to this time last year so need performances on field to match and keep.

We scored 100+ points last week so if we can score that again this week and improve our defence think we are a strong chance.

As I was a North supporter prior to Brisbane joining the competition can not lose can I.   ;D ;D

GoLions

I reckon we're a chance, and having Sauce, Green, and Zorkoooooooo back definitely helps! Just gotta hope that Norf turns up :P

I didn't get to see the Brisbane game last week so was hoping someone can tell me what the flower was Harwood doing? He only scored 39SC points. Will he have a different role this week now that Merret is back?

Ringo

With Merrett out there was really no one organising our defence as it was a very inexperienced back line.  So in effect the run off HB he is used was not eventuating but anticipate that with Sauces return this week this would be improved. See how he performs this week and then make a decision.  Team should be really up as it could be one of the few wins in the first 7 rounds.

Although Harwood and Cutler are named on bench can not see Rich and Mayes starting off HB.

The Brissy boys feel they're big chance in this one,  :o But they don't have the difference, Spud Firrito. His spread will seperate the chaff from the cheese. The question is how do you spread his 6 possessions over 4 QTR's.

Norf will turn up.

Harwood is half way to his score from last week already. I'm still happy I dumped him though
