If I had my time again, I would pick Zac smith over goldy and use that cash down back

But can't be disappointed with goldy nicnat
Jury still out on Smith - Will not score goals like that each week and did not score a lot of points in second half.

Can't see him being a bad pick with Danger Duncan and Selwood at his feet.

Call me crazy but I am still considering the goldy to smith move ... The scoring power of the weits/dea/brown/tippa worries me

Might lose 15 in the ruck but prob gain 30 - 40 down back

don't b silly mate

Just upgrade super fast. i dont think anyone up the top will have no back rookies starting. I have weits and adams and thats probably one of the strongest i have seen.

Goldy got 126 against jacobs one of the best rucks in the comp. You cant get much better then that.

He went 154 127 against martin last year (martin actually inst that good a ruck)

Smith was up against the hawks who dont have good rucks. Smith has Mummy this week and if mummy can stop getting annoyed and giving free kicks away should do a great job against smith.

If Goldy goes sub 100 next week and Smith goes 100+ then Its somewhat feasible.

That is the great thing about Martin, he scores so well around the ground off of possessions, the guy gets as many clearances as good midfielders get, so he can towel up the weak ruck opposition while still scoring well of off possies vs the top rucks who beat him.
95 is a great score considering NN smashed him and his team got dominated, owners should be happy.

Not doing the trades but man I wish I started smith over goldy and look to upgrade later on.

i did start without goldy.  felt sick watching him dominate last qrtr without being in my team.   i am working out when to get him.   hopefully r2 and r4 in comp step up a bit.[/size]

Went Goldy and Gawn.

Not unhappy or anything put kinda wishing I had NicNat instead of Gawn after yesterday.

Early days still though I guess.  :-\
Similar feelings here but Nic Nat was marking everything and had a lot of the ball....wouldn't expect that to happen every week.
Both will be good picks and I'm hopeful Gawn will average about the same as him by the end of the year. His draw/ opponents look way better to NicNat's but if Natunui plays like that every week it will mean squat.
I also did the Goldy Gwan and not unhappy.  Last year was Nats first year as the dominant ruck at Eagles and an interesting stat he averaged 114 at Subi and 93 away from Subi.  Only had one score over 110 away from Subi. This is the reason I went Gawn over him as Gawn was more consistent.
Interesting stat alright... Didn't know that. This week will give us more of an idea if we've gone with a viable option... Will also put that stat average to the test... NicNat v Hawks at MCG and Gawn v Ess. Hopefully Gawn will close the gap on Nic by a bit.

He'll dominate against Essendon, not against Leuey.

Slashers

Hickey trade in to the forward line as ruck cover looks a likely trade next week for a failed mid price starter if he can back it up.

issue is he went big against Lobbe then has the dogs who also have a weak ruckline.

then he has Grundy/Witts, Mcevoy, Mummy, Gawn, Goldy, NN

so thats a pretty tough draw (besides Mcevoy)

I didn't actually realise he was a forward as well.. Hmm

Only problem is if the Saints decide to pick Longer as well it just about kills his value. As the lone ruck he's done well in the past though.

Doesn't Hickey start most seasons well then get injured?

The chances of him playing 20 games and scoring well regularly would have to be low

Yes and I can't understand why anyone is even thinking about him... absolute textbook points chasing, gets 150 in the first round and suddenly everyone forgets that the last 4 years he's played 10, 12,6 and 11 games at an average of 58, 58, 88 and 69. Not a keeper, not durable, and not someone to trade in!
