Pregame swap

With Papley scoring a ton, would it be worth maybe downgrading billings in my fwd line to someone like Lincoln McCarthy and then picking up another defender for around 420k?
my defence so far is: Laird, Yeo, Pittard, Dea, McDonald-Tipungwuti, Ruggles (to loophole Garry) (Cutler, Adams)
Just looking at that the rookies are pretty weak, so I could really strengthen my defence. What would you recommend I do? And if you recommend me picking up another defender, who should I pick?

I'd be doing whatever you can to get Pittard out! Grab Matt Boyd instead.

Pittard is my one player that I think I'm always going to have, I stuck by him last year, so I think I gotto keep him!

My fwd line is currently: Martin, Barlow, Wingard, Billings, Wells, Kerridge (M. McGovern, Papley)

So it's a pretty strong fwd line already, and after seeing Papley play, I could see him maybe being someone I should try and keep on field

Papley isn't going to score 100 every week.

You're being delusional if you think that.

Most likely to score 50's/60's IMO.

Definitely not saying papely is gunna score 100 every week, However I do think that Dea looked terrible! and I need to strengthen my defence.

Problem is I don't think Essendon will be in many games this year and there will be a lot of games like that!
I've gone: Billings, Ruggles and Pittard for Bartel, Sheradin and McCarthy.
Personally I'm seeing this as an upgrade on what I had, and also it frees up some cash to maybe upgrade Dea to Weitering, although I'll likely wait a week for that one day
