Really dont know what to do with Barlow. Stuck between the following 4:
1) Keep him and ride it out
2) Trade him for a midfield premium through DPP (Priddis/Gray)
3) Bring in a cheaper player who will make money (Lambert/Johannison).
4) Trade him for a rookie (Hartley) and start Menadue or Papley.

HELP!?!

Luckily I've already got all the must have rookies. Have Gresham in mids but he can just sit on the bench.

Barlow has been traded to Z Merrett as soon as lockout was over. Main concern is Rocky but also have Robbo on bench as well but will wait to see how his injury is before trading.

What do people think of Zaharakis as an option for Rocky?

maybe gresham to hartley after a small rise next week

considered rocky to papely. but will probably hold. he is only 550k so should come good 90 in round 1 aint bad.

I have seeds and lonergan so might do Seeds to Hartley and Lonergan to Laird.

if not probably a mccarthy to hartley for a small cash grab.

This is my exact plan at this stage, even the same amount of cash in the bank…or can I pass on Papley and bring in Zerrett?  Could be a stroke of genius early to move up the rankings, but the cash generation might bite me later, I still don't think he has the best JS...

very similar to me! the players i want are jj, libba and paps! players on the chopping block are barlow, bartel, rocky and also have robbo! its all about money at this stage of the game and overall has already past me by ranked 28000 ! still think i can get into top 1000 again though! papley is a must! just need to make a decision on libba and jj! if i went barlow to paps and rocky to libba +the 150000 already in the bank it would give me a ridiculous 750000 in the kitty which would enable me to chose any players i desire over the coming weeks but i will have a pretty weak team next week! or do i?

on paper it may look weak, but picking in form players is a good move and generating cash as well. a lot of of people are in the same predicament. will get rid of Rich next week for a premium and maybe look at bringing in hartley for the bombers if he performs this week.

I missed out on papley and bennedy would i be crazy to do
Barlow > papley
Rocky > bennedy
This creates a fwd-mid link and nets me 850k the week after to upgrade degoey and seeds and still have 400k left over for future upgrades

Worked out a way to make this work, providing Papley plays at least decent today.

This week:
Barlow --> Papley
L. McDonald --> Johannisen

Next week:
De Goey --> Z. Merrett
Rockliff --> Fyfe

This is will only work so long as Fyfe doesn't get 150 next week, De Goey gets at least 60, Z. Merrett doesn't get more than 110ish, and Rockliff doesn't play. This should work.

Stuck with the same options and have no clue whats right however i picked every rookie correct except for hartley but i can pick him up next week if he has a good game

Cannot believe the amount of ppl trading out barlow. Keep the faith. His a gun and every year you have premos screwing up n getting it back together. Plus you didnt pay 600k+ for him so whats the big deal.

Worst case scebario os he hovers at around 425k, 75k loss but your rookies will make that up next week.

I'm trading Barlow to Papley.

Papley will make 200k in 3-4 weeks I reckon, Barlow will lose 100k.

The trade will make me 300k, and with a trade roughly worth 150k it's a done deal, even if I chose to go Papley back to Barlow IF he picks up form. Also gives me 400k off the bat for upgrades elsewhere next week

A part of me agrees with this but I have Papley on bench getting 100+. And blokes like Johanissen getting 120+ for less money. If Barlow turns it around, he can come back in after round 10 for 75K less.

Lots of talk about trading Rocky/Bartel etc, with these guys I think people need to remember the "form is temporary, class is permanent" rule for premos. These guys have had a couple of off games, and Rocky especially was always going to start a little slow.

Barlow is a different story because he is being played out of the position in which he scores well. Bartel and Rocky just need to come out of a slump and you'll regret ditching them...

I dont think trading two premos for rookies will help your point scoring very well

If you missed hall I would bring him in for barlow and then pick one of paps or kennedy

otherwise i would pick a premium mid for rocky and then go barlow to paps
