i reckon parkers owner % wilk sky rocket next week lol

true, but he wont avg 40 touches a game. they'll be disappointed when he doesnt give em 160, though he did look good during NAB and looks to back it up.

Obviously its smart to hold the trades until before Round 3, but what if there are more than 2 players you want to get in?
For example, a team doesn't have Hewett, Papley, Kennedy or Lonergan for example, and wants to get more than 2 of them in before the price rises?
Do you bite the bullet early in that situation or give them all another week and just accept that you'll only get 2 of?

I want to get Hewett, Menadue and Weitering in for Gresham/Dunkley, McGovern and Dea.
Going to wait another week and see if they can back up there performance though.
Hewett was in a 70 point win so it is something to consider.

What happens when the player you trade out has a blinder next week and the player you trade in doesn't? Hold!

Some people just have to settle down.. Jesus Christ.

Keep in mind that most rookies will be a bit up and down over their first few games as they need time to adjust to a pace which is must faster than what they have been used to.  You've picked them for a reason, give them a little time to live up to your expectations.  Pulling the trigger too early is the worst mistake you can make at this point.

Anyone thinking about making trades after round one, cool your jets.

Anyone thinking about making trades based on pies vs swans and suns vs bombers (so far), quit now. Pies copped an absolute flogging and were woeful on ground, wans dined out on that. Parker is not going to get 40 touches every week, Papley is not going to get 3 goals every week. Heck if we go by that logic, JPK owners, drop him for Hewett, quick!

Similarly, the suns flogged the dons. That's going to happen most weeks, were people expecting tons from the dons rookie defenders??  :o avg suns score was 20points better than dons, and 14 suns scored 80 or better compared to 4 dons... Brown was a little disappointing but 50 and 60 from McTip and Dea is fine by me.

I'll have to make some corrective trades but none are urgent enough for me to make next week.

As mentioned throughout this thread, wait until week 3 (unless you got Swan who's gone for 10 weeks)

I think though, I'll have to trade Sidebottom :( replays didn't look good and I can't have him on my bench for 3-4 weeks.. If he's given 2 I'll keep him but anymore (which I think he'll get) and he has to go as I'm going for overall. Just sucks as I thought he was in for a big year and was my pod in the midfield.

Anderson out for paply   will be a popular choice

Parker is a gun, but he won't be scoring that big every week. I had him in my team the last two years and I just cringed watching him going for marks across the packs or putting his body on the line thinking at any time he will get injured or concussed. He has been known to go big one week and then 80's the next. Great footballer to watch though.

Yes if you have identified a rookie that you missed and are extremely sure you made a mistake there is nothing wrong with correcting that early, but i wouldn't be selling any rookies on the back on 1 week.
I am getting Ben Kennedy in straight away.
