Likewise, but now that grimley and hartley is out I think I have to go for a loop r3 and pertracca as I dont rate papley's JS (mcglynn in,pap is gone)

Very tempted to go Cockatoo now, feel Menadue is solid for next week and can be loopholed a second time. I love Milera as a footballer but I fear one dud performannce and it will be eventual eviction, especially with so much talent queued up in Menzel, Knight and Cameron. This also fits in nicely with my Cocky/Cox loophole strategy, round 3 is the killer but hopefully by that stage the guns of the competition will be crystal clear.

Menadue with the E for me as well. Mills M7 and Dunkley M8 at the moment, kinda hoping Dunkley to not make the cut to loophole the 80, otherwise I just gotta choose 2 between Mills, Dunkley, Gresham and Davis.

I'v got him at F7 with the E

Would like to take it, but not selecting a donut player in my forward line just to get his 80

If Bennedy and Milera can push 70 which isn't out of the picture, then I'll take the small loss in points and have all my players making money

It's only rd1. It's a marathon, not a sprint

I've spent about 3 hours this morning looking at combinations fwd/def/mid...M McGovern, Papley, Hewett, Petracca and looking at JS, scoring potential and flexibility issues I'm thinking Petracca is the way to go. I'm not entirely comfortable in it as I've always gone R1 players in the past but can see a corrective needed to him anyway if I were to start one of the above. Hopefully Petracca will be back R3 and cash generation will be restored.

Raisy has been flip flopping all over the shop this year, in any case I'll explain my Cockatoo stance. Firstly, I'm very keen to get some  PODs in my side, at the moment it's like one big cookie cutter factory. Why Cocky and not Petracca? Well he's out for 2 weeks and is almost certain to be selected in round 3, there's no way people will be downgrading Milera after only 2 price rises, therefore he becomes something of a wildcard in the head to head battles. The second point is he's perfect to loophole with Menadue and for the captain's loophole, in fact I wouldn't even be upset if he missed a third week given Geelong play last in round 3. You say it's not a marathon and that is correct but I don't see how you will be advantaged with an extra 2 weeks of price rises unless you burn a trade for a paltry amount.

In any case, I think Cocky has better JS than Milera and combined with a Menadue loophole, better scoring potential. Petracca will be missing for up to 6 weeks so he makes zero sense to me and will be a downgrade target.
