Think you're missing the point, it's not for the 80 points, it's for a long range strategy of C/VC loophole, forward loophole given Menadue plays early in the first 4 rounds and stitching up the best player irrespective of whether he plays this week or not.

Goetz is a good pick for the loophole but has no chance of playing and doesn't have the DPP. Reckon it's better to run with Cox who should get games eventually, but horses for courses.

I just had a look at him vs Tom Read. Dogs play Friday night round 6 which is a killer. These are the start times for games for the two

So basically they are pretty even heading up to the byes with bad games for loophole purposes. Rounds 4, 7, 8 and 9 are the bad ones for the Cats and then post bye it isn't great for a couple of weeks. Round 6 and 12 are the really bad ones for the Dogs and they play quite a few of Friday night ones close to the end of the season. I am thinking the Read DPP could come in useful if there is a R/F that pops up and looks to be decent coverage. Read could be a swing man where as Goetz there isn't an option for that.

I would be shocked if you ever have a full squad from round 6 onwards, also the DPP could prevent an untimely trade eg. Goldy rested for a week.
