#16
Round 3

Rising Star

Seoul will be happy with this, back-to-back nominations! Clayton Oliver claims the honour this week with 90 following teammate Caleb Daniel's nomination last week. Funnily enough, only two rookies scored higher and they were the two previously nominated so far this season in Daniel and Weitering. Do we have three horse race on our hands? Stay tuned and find out. Also, James Sicily would have taken the nomination had he been named for the seniors.

Team of the Week

This is probably one of the more bland teams of the week we'll see. Quite a number of familiar faces and 12/15 of the team were from the same 5 teams. In something slightly more interesting, the two top scorers were rucks and therefore we have co-captains this week! Max Gawn takes the ruck spot through a technicality, that being the use of the alphabet. If I had my way, we'd resort to the old technique of them cancelling each other out and awarding it to the next best ruck which was Cairo's Shane Mumford... and some filthy Cape Town scum by the name of Mark Blicavs. But yeah, any complaints can forwarded to nigedoesnotcare@gmail.com and it may or may not be acknowledged. In other news, rookie Jacob Weitiering made the team in just his third week as an AFL footballer, but you didn't need me to tell you that because Dublin's coach Holz has probably waved it in your face already. The coach of the week is Levi434 of Rio who is running an absolute juggernaut at the moment.

D: Bachar Houli (New York), Jacob Weitering (Dublin), Heath Shaw (Mexico City), Tom Langdon (Seoul)
M: Patrick Dangerfield (Seoul), Joel Selwood (Dublin), Gary Ablett (Rio), Trent Cotchin (Mexico City)
R: Max Gawn (Berlin) [cc]
F: Luke Dahlhaus (Tokyo), Leigh Montagna (Christchurch), Aaron Hall (Rio), Brent Harvey (Mexico City)
I: Todd Goldstein (Dublin) [cc], Luke Parker (Tokyo)

Coach: Levi434 (Rio)

Holz

Robbed wanted that ruck spot :P

Great to see Dublin Hero Jelly back in the team it feels like a long time.

Gawn is R1, and order is restored.

Well Nige, you made the right choice and I'm gonna live up to my side of the agreement.

Here's your turtle, alive and well.

I guess its ok. Goldy will have plenty of opportunities to make it.

Players like Gawn when they fluke a big score should get their time in the sun.

Round 4

Rising Star of the Week

Raise your cups of tea! Orazio Fantasia of London is our Round 4 nominee with a 96 to take home this week's honour. He helped his team to a narrow win and gets to point and laugh in the face of Berlin's Darcy Byrne-Jones who did better by a solitary point but has a coach that clearly didn't care about his rising star ambitions.

Team of the Week

Unexpected captain and vice captain this week, that's what we like to see. We also had a number of different faces to keep this team fresh. Oh and you know we love our hard luck stories here at TOTW and the heartbreak is real for Tom Nicholls of Buenos Aires who performed best this week of all the rucks but played in the reserves.

D: Alex Rance (Dublin), Elliot Yeo (Rio), Matt Suckling (Pacific), Shane Biggs (Buenos Aires)
M: Luke Shuey [c] (London), Pearce Hanley [vc] (Cairo), Nat Fyfe (Berlin), Sam Mitchell (Christchurch)
R: Todd Goldstein (Dublin)
F: Jarrad Waite (New York), Eddie Betts (Mexico City), Isaac Heeney (New York), Zach Merrett (PNL)
I: Rory Sloane (Dublin), Callan Ward (Beijing)

Coach: Holz (Dublin)

Pretty stoked with DBJ... I even considered playing him, but seeing as everything sucks, I didn't.

I'm serious this time, I'll have more faith in you as the C Fyfe  :-\
