Has there always been half points? Someone can potentially score say 50.5?

Gigantor

Lol was just reading this article!

-8.5 for a 50 is brutal  :o

Pretty sure the half points have been around for a while, but when the scores are scaled any half points are rounded either way.

Ah I see! Have never actually had a good look at the scoring system haha

It's wrong. I know most of the real scores and that guide is way off.

Wll it is only giving 25 of the poosible 100 scoring option and all of them were already known.
for example a Long Effective kick is worth more than a Short Effective kick. Which then changes in price depending on if you go forward, backwards, sideways, rebound 50, inside 50, time, score, pressure. Any guide that is given is really useless unless they provide ALL measurements.

Well this is what CD has published

Funny that they don't mention anything about weighting, higher scoring for players who impacted when the game was still in the balance, match winning goals etc

Always been around (NRoo at his peak being a prime example) but they pick and choose when to decide what's a lead and what isn't. It was included in the real list that I published last year. It's worth 3 points vs 1 for a regular uncontested mark from teammate.

Actually, effective long and short kicks are each worth 3 points. Long kick (40m+) to advantage is worth 5. Backwards kick is worth 1. There's no premium put on inside/rebound 50's either.

@RD yeah its much the same as what they have had on the SC site but that's always been wrong too. Tackles have always been listed as being worth 4 but they're only 4 if it's a defender in their own defensive 50 or a forward in their own attacking 50. Every other time they're worth 3. Same with HOTA being 4 usually.

Scaling is a little more complicated but not rocket science either. Players from both teams get scaled the same though. The notion that players get scaled up purely because their team wins is an absolute myth.
