Alright, so I've had this bloke at r3 forever and looking at his nab scores he's going to be rubbish

I'm thinking 30-40 most weeks

He is going to be the ultimate slow burner, so cashing him in will either take forever or not be worth it

So, is he worth starting? Or do we go with a 102k cheapo to use for loophole?

Currie I see value in picking IF he plays rd1, but if he doesn't do we pick Grimley or just go with the donut loophole?

Means we have no ruck cover, but I honestly think the points we gain in successful loopholes will outscore the points Grimley actually nets us the rare time if any that he would be fielded

I'm not wasting a forward spot on him, so it's r3 or bust I reckon

Thoughts?
if you were to go an r3 loophole ! what would be the best option!? in other worrds what team plays late the most throughout the year!

Best year long FD is Melbourne
Best first half of year FD is Bulldogs
Best first 7 games FD is without a doubt Freo

Bully

Here's a decent Cocky/Cox loophole strategy.

Round 1. Geelong play Monday so take you pick.

Round 2. Geelong play Sunday so Goldy/Gaz into Danger

Round 3. This is where Wines/Gray would be gold, otherwise troublesome

Round 4. Collingwood play Sunday so Danger/Gaz into Goldy/Pendles

Round 5. Collingwood play Monday so your pick

Round 6. Collingwood Sunday so take your pick

Beyond this things will surely open up, but still no Friday games for Collingwood until round 18.

Interestingly Grimley is the most popular Ruck pick now over Goldy, Cox and Gawn.

Prob cos there aren't any other cheap R3's playing...

So what's everyone doing with him?

I've currently dropped him to a 102k ruck to get me a loophole option and I needed the cash plus I agree that he won't be scoring much every week limiting his cash generation and the argument that you will gain more points by having a loophole than you will if Grimley covers your rucks for a week is very valid.

So would Goetz be the best 102k option then considering everyone would likely have someone in their team not playing anyway at the halfway point?

smashbox

why do people have grimley over Sam Michael?

RaisyDaisy

@Tom - Goetz is useless because you can't loophole GAJ with him

LOL for some reason I got him mixed up and thought it was Loersch

Been a long day  :-[

Get your hands of my Goetz. My r3 will be him if the rookies don't get up. If the rookies get up I can afford Lamb Rogan Josh.

The bigger issue is what if one of are rucks are out a week or 2? Grimley as backup is better than nothing and not too many other rookie options for forwards bench once you look past Kennedy, Kerridge, Petracca, Menadue and Kommer.

I'll most likely put Grimley on the fwd bench if named and then use Goetz as R3 loophole

And if a ruck is out for a week, how do you play that?

eaglesman

Goetz doesn't have the mid fwd swing which could be valuable if one of the rucks misses a week ...

Not sure which 102k ruck is best
