Alright, so I've had this bloke at r3 forever and looking at his nab scores he's going to be rubbish

I'm thinking 30-40 most weeks

He is going to be the ultimate slow burner, so cashing him in will either take forever or not be worth it

So, is he worth starting? Or do we go with a 102k cheapo to use for loophole?

Currie I see value in picking IF he plays rd1, but if he doesn't do we pick Grimley or just go with the donut loophole?

Means we have no ruck cover, but I honestly think the points we gain in successful loopholes will outscore the points Grimley actually nets us the rare time if any that he would be fielded

I'm not wasting a forward spot on him, so it's r3 or bust I reckon

Thoughts?

Keeper27

R3 donut like every other year

Rusty00

Does he actually play Round 1 anyway? I'm not as convinced he will as others seem to be.

I have him in the forwards ATM but might put him at R3 starting to think with 3 spots and the lack of mid cheapies that is the place for a doughnut

Raiden

Yeah i don't think his going to score very well either, however I'd rather some type of backup rather then nothing @ all. If he play's at least there could be some type of cash generation with him.

If Currie is named i might be tempted to fine the extra $40K to replace Grimely.

if you were to go an r3 loophole ! what would be the best option!? in other worrds what team plays late the most throughout the year!

Geelong & the Dogs are very good options, particularly in the critical opening rounds. I wouldn't be fussed with the later rounds so much, your team will be like Swiss cheese. And those plumping for Melbourne, the first 2 weeks are awful and they play two of their Sunday games over the bye period, something which has seemingly inflated their appeal.

Cox is still a viable option, think he will get games eventually and can be used for loophole purposes in the early stages.

I have had Cox for a while for this exact reason. Gives me the Ablett loophole Rd.1 as well.

RaisyDaisy

Cox works this week, but then he doesn't for rd2 and 3 so I don't see the point

I expect to have a rookie get dropped by then anyway so really just want a good loophole for the first few rounds if it's possible

jvalles69

I've got Grimley at R3 too, but Cox as my F8 for DPP/loophole and at least Grimley scores if things get Grim.  ;D

Slightly01

I have a pleb R3 for loophole, but am still carrying Grimley at F8.
Would need another must have rook to appear for me to boot him, as I think he will play (especially with origami Luey the starting ruck) and the sense of security (be it small) of having even a smidge of backup in the ruck rather than having to trade one of my set and forgets for a one weeker.........

Mat0369

I have him at F7/F8 and Currie at R3. The thing is I think he will get games, but I don't think the Bombers mids can get him enough ball for him to score decently. We might be looking at a 35-55 most weeks which probably won't see any cash generation so I am better off looking at other options in the forward line.

It's just going to depend who is available on each line. I am not overly keen on spending over 150k on bench rookies on all my lines.

sammy123

i have him for his DP only
