Who do you reckon is the best defender in the 250-375k price range? Im curious about names like Cutler, Sheradin, Harwood, Seedsman and Lonergan. Is there anyone else to consider? and who do you guys think is the best option in this price range?

Also would it be best to go 4 premiums, 4 rookies (including Dea) in defence? or go 3 premiums, 2 players 250-375k and 3 rookies (Including Dea)?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I have gone 3-1-4, that 1 being Sheridan. So that answers your question.

Most others would say Lonergan, but I reckon he'll have to be traded when GC get their mids back. Sheridan should play the same role for the whole season and average 85-90 IMO.

Thanks for the advice! I agree Sheradin is the long term option and agree on 85-90. My only concern is I don't believe there is enough rookies to have 4 in your backline at this stage!

Im going 4-4
Im not buying into the Sheridan hype, I believe he is going to be a 70 average player and cause people who pick him no end of headaches this year.
Also I don't feel Lonergan is worth it as Hall should get the most time in the mids with the uts, yes he will get some more rotations, but not enough to go 90+.
neither have proven to be able to score well for more than a few games in a row.

If I took a punt on any it would be Harwood, but his JS is not the best. But he is much cheaper than the others and has proven before he can score well consistently when not injured.

disagre on the JS of harwood.

He should play 22 barring injury, the issue is he is a decent chance to get injured. If he stayed healthy i would comfortably pencil in 80 from 20+ games.

IM going weits instead. I reckon he plays 20+ easy and should go 65+

im going 1-3-4 with weits and dea as F5 and 6! very risky but could pay off! the problem is thats a lot of upgrade trades i need to make! hoping 1 or 2 of those mid pricers are keepers!

Currently I have Laird, KK, Yeo as locks for my team.
Then I have cutler at D4 because I think his ceiling is higher than Harwood!
Then Ive got 4 rookies.
Or i could go Sheradin D4, Cutler D5, Dea D6....but this would mean I would have to downgrade Mumford to Leuenberger. Which is the better option in the long run?

The issue with Harwood is 4 into 2 will not go Harwood, Cutler, Lester and Claye Beams.  Claye Beams has had 2 games in NEAFL so will be knocking on door as well.  So eventually 2 of the 4 will lose out.  Cutler was the best performed in the NAB cup so Harwood would have to lift to stave off challenge.
