S.Gray vs Billings vs Hall

S.Gray looks the goods with 3 big weeks to finish out 2015 and a very solid 2016 NAB. Looks to be a permanent midfielder going on the what he produced in the NAB, but when all of Port's midfielders are healthy will he be able to continue in that role. Many years of SANFL makes him looked primed to explode this year. Reports were that the coaches realised he was a true midfielder rather than a small forward which indicates he will stay in the middle for majority of his TOG. Could be this years Titch. 95+ average on the cards.

Billings is young but a top draft pick could this be his year? Had a big game last year against the dogs with a few solid ones before injury, but also a few low ones. Big preseason with decent NAB hitouts. If he can get a bit more consistency into his game i feel like he could go 90+ at least. Could be this years bontempelli and he should get a fair bit of mid time while still hitting the scoreboard. 20 touches with a goal or two each week.

Hall is very similar to Gray. Started 2015 very poorly but hit a hot patch in the last 7 games averaging 114. Change of role into the midfield led to this. 2016 NAB was very good and looks like he has cemented his spot for now. The question like Gray is what will happen when the main midfielders (Ablett, Swallow, O'Meara, Prestia) come back, what role will be left to Hall? With Swallow and O'Meara having no set return date can Hall average high enough during their absence for how he performs when they return. Can see a 95 average.

Looking to take the risk on one or two of these three. Wanted to write up what i believe and also to get other peoples opinions on these players, as i believe these few could give you an upper hand on the rest of the competition if you choose them right. Cheers

Gray for me.  He's not filling in ... he's ready.

Cheers guys.
Would it be worth taking the risk on both hall and gray?

Too much money to gamble. Go with your gut.

Hall for me.

We are unsure about Grays role in a side which has Wines and Polec returning to the midfield.

his last half of last year was incredible so he was no secret. anyone watching closely would said he is a lock this year.

Jeez people are underrating Billings! I wish I had the sack to pick him, he won't be available as a forward for long I don't think! On talent alone, he's the best of the 3, I can't take the risk on him playing all 22 though unfortunately.

i love the billings pick, i just wish he had more midfield rotations and I'd be all over him. Problem is, he's such  good fwd that it's almost detrimental to take him out of the fwd line

That was the only problem i had with him was if he would be able to get the mid time. Otherwise like MC said he has the most talent. If they all got the same mid time i think billings would be the best pick. One to look at next year or even later this year if he has broken out.
