Wont be picking him simply because he aint top 10 material. After 5-6 seasons I think the guns and rookies approach is the best in leagues (not to win the thing though). I currently have 5 guns: Fyfe, danger, priddis, rockliff, pendles who have all proved themselves in previous seasons in my midfield. Libba might get to 500k, but you are still trading him to a pure gun. I think its easier picking good rookies than good mid pricers in the last few years... I have been burnt.

Does everyone with libba have crouch as well?

I'd like to know what everyones midfield looks like if they have libba in their team and how they have fit him in

Think he'll do better than that, averaged 107 & 110 in his past two seasons.

No he hasn't. Averaged 0 last year  8)

I say this in jest, though it's something that needs to be seriously considered. Everyone is expecting him to waltz back in and pick up where he left off... He missed a whole year of footy, as good as he might be, I don't believe he can do that.

x2
Game changes a lot in a year, Beveridge wont just let him slot straight into their finals midfield without earning it and testing him around the ground. Ive got b.crouch no libba.

There aren't enough must have rookies atm to fill F6-F11

Barlow wasn't able too and I doubt Libba will too. Anything close to 100 is a win.

Looking at the point made about coming back from a knee injury and not being able to slot back in, i've delved into the archives and come up with something for you all to ponder.

Theirs obviously players like Daniel Menzel, Brendan Whitecross, Jonathon Patton who i believe are a few unique players this season people will be lookin to pick are players who come back from surgery and injure their ACL's again, some cases are different but those three players have injured the same ACL twice.

Now players who have injured their acl (or season long leg injuries) and come back without injuring it again;

David Hille - 2008; 87.8 2009; ACL 2010; 79.8; Was similar price to Libba when coming back from injury
Michael Barlow; 2010; avg 116 before breaking leg, 2011; avg 83 from 9 games
Taylor Walker; 2013 5 games avg 69 tore acl, 2014 avg 80. Would have been cheap as chips
Jason Winderlich; averaged 87 the year before tearing his acl, managed only 2 games the year after but his highest aveage after tearing his acl was 77

That's just a few.

But, even if Libba comes back and scores 75-85 early on, he'll make cash fast and you'll be able to upgrade without having to make so much cash.

I'm here hoping he can come back very well.

Libba was injured in the preseason, he's had maximum recovery time. Matthew Richardson came back from an ACL and lost nothing, in fact he made the AA team and booted 91 goals. Every player is different, the recovery time is getting down to 7 months now, if they are disciplined in their preparation then it shouldn't kill their productivity. Jake Lever didn't play a game in 2014 but was able to slot into Adelaide's senior team like he'd been playing AFL for the past 5 years. Libba may start slow but he should be able to build as the season progresses.

Would you not be happy with 100 average? :p

I hope he gets back to his best for his own sake , the Doggies and the comp in general.  The extra points will be appreciated too :p

Fyfe, Danger, Pendles, GAJ, Rocky, Libba, B Crouch, Mills (Gresham, x, x)

same setup.

Fyfe, Danger, Pendles, GAJ, Rocky, Libba, B Crouch, Mills (Gresham, Menadue, Davis)

meow meow

Lenny Hayes anyone?

It's been 13 months since the acl tear. Libba snr came back after 16 weeks. What are you worried about, the fact that he didn't do much in a meaningless training run after he already proved that he's still gun the week before?

Rich is another did ACL in 2014 came back last year and still averaged 80 so Libba is a better player than that so expecting 90/100 which will do me and if he reaches that will probably be one of the last luxury upgrades.

Here are some other relevant ones that play midfield roles

Guys coming back from ACLs can generally hit similar numbers. Even Rich only dropped 5pts from his average the year before his ACL, and that could be because of his move to Half Back

Goddard
2006 ave: 106
2007: ACL
2008 ave: 103

Gray
2011 ave: 91
2012: ACL
2013 ave: 91 unsubbed

Hayes
2010 ave: 103
2011: ACL
2012 ave: 102

Liberatore
2014 ave: 110
2015: ACL
2016: ??

My only concern with Libba is Minson's affect on him
