The name Jack Steele is starting to circulate as yet another mid priced option.

To be completely honest, I don't understand why he is under consideration at all.
I understand the vest is now gone, but I don't think 7 games last year and a couple of good performances in NAB warrants selection when there are so many other options around that price.

Steele is unproven, and I would not have thought that he even has a spot in the GWS best 22 nailed down.

Please, enlighten me.

Currently in my side as a POD

Not cemented in though, but Steele is a jet

With Treloar now gone, he will get more of a chance. I no more people are looking at De Goey in that same price range, and I am too but have gone with Steele for now

Followed his progress before he got picked up by GWS - and others that did know how good he will be

I'm not worried about his JS. I expect him to play all 22 barring injury

MC

Can't justify him with all of the more proven mid-pricers around this year. Wells/Crouch/Libba etc are far more likely to post premium scores. I actually had DeGoey in for a long time, I can see him jumping drastically in average, though more likely to land in that 85 range, which won't be enough for me as a keeper.

Bully

Steele is a crazy selection, he's played 7 games and literally has no SC history to go on. This is beyond mid-price madness.

Agreed. He is more expensive then Brad Crouch for one, I know you're probably going to be picking both if you are picking him, but the pick doesn't make a lot of sense.

Its not crazy when drafted those in the know rated him highly (meow drafted him early thats big).

Could get treloars role.

However kennedy hopper have massive talent and i reckon they will conpete and get a shot at some stage.

In a similar price range i prefer degoey.

Saying that with libba crouch in the mids and all the cheap fiewards dont think either is worth a punt.

See this is the major issue, you're looking at a guy in his second season to take a huge jump when you have guys with proven runs on the board.

Even if Steele is best 22, what says he gets into the midfield rotation on a heavy basis when you have Ward, Shiel, Coniglio, Whitfield, Kelly, Griffen and a couple others that you mentioned as well? There seems like to much risk for not enough reward based on his price alone.

I don't think Cameron would start him in 67% of centre bounces for showers and gigs though. Of course he is a risk with no real evidence that backs up his selection but 26 touches, 10 contested, 11 tackles and a goal in NAB 3 with arguably only cogs ahead of him to come back. If you froff a pod I think he could be worth a punt.

This guy is going to prove a lot of you wrong

Absolute jet. I have no doubt in my mind that he is Treloar's replacement

Depending on rookies available I could be starting him. I actually want to. Perfect M9/F7 as worst case

I think he can push 90+

You've based your selection off 2 NAB cup scores Daisy. Its the only reason anyone is talking about him at all. He will be inconsistent all year.

This is SC not drafting for premiership glory. Until he produces some consistent numbers then it makes little sense to consider him, for a little bit more you get Aaron Hall who at least has some attractive scoring history to go on.

LOL I have not at all

Cast back to last year, and everyone was hoping he would start rd1 because people in the know knew how good he is

Time will tell

he is really really good but so are Hopper and Kennedy who are waiting in the wings. cant see them being held out of the squad all year.

jvalles69

Gun, but don't have the gonads to pick him up this year with other options, I'd be more inclined to pick him up on AF.
