I never seriously toyed with the idea until today. I think if fit he is definitely good enough to hold that spot for the short term and it also allows you to bolster up the other lines. (For me Lonergan to D4, Libba and crouch M6 and 7 and Goldy Gawn SnF) However, if he goes down early you're in trouble..

What is everyone's thoughts on this??

I have him at F3 myself. As you said, could be in trouble if he goes down early. But really pays off if he gets through the first 10 rounds or so, as he should score pretty well!

If he does go down within the first 3-4 rounds what would be your potential plans GL? Can't really find an easy solution...

I currently have Menadue at F7, so if he's scoring alright then I'd probably either get someone like Kommer, or swing Grimley forward and pick up Currie (if playing), or King (for loopholing).

Obviously depends on how other players are going as well. If someone like Mills or Oliver are struggling, could downgrade one of them and upgrade Wells to someone like De Goey.

I've had Wells at F3 for most of the preseason

I've noticed RD, strength in other lines outweigh the risk of an injury prone f3 mid pricer for you??

Holz

need to make cash somewhere, cant in the mids this year so need to in the forward line.

wells at f3 or f4

Anybody considering running wells and lyons at f3 and f4?

Lyons averaged 78 unsubbed last year and looked good in the nab, could he be a nice stepping stone?

Goosey

F4 for mine, I need more oomph at F3!

nostradamus

Sitting at F4 for me, that way if injury strikes early a downgrade to best performing mid-pricer or rookie and if no injury then happy days

Gigantor

Its all relative to where the good rookies are

Hell, I would sit Wells at F1 if the 7 best rookies where all forwards :)

Yeah good call. As for Lyons I have had my eyes on him. Solid NAB and Pyke has talked him up. Tossing up between him and Milera +$. Given the tough draw I dont know how well milera will score given he'll mainly play fwd yet lyons is 70k more but will have runs in the midfield. Can question both their JS.

Hmmmm, may need to revisit Wellsy currently sitting at F6 or M7 if I swing him. Maybe too strong Fwd..

Grufflez

Wellzy & Sherri F1 & D1 lock it in!

sammy123

wells is my F4. because i have gone a bit lighter in the back.

but if u have as F3. just strengthen other lines if done that way
