Brown (ess) vs Petracca

Surprised to see how many people still have Brown (ess) locked in their teams as I don't see him generating much cash or points at all.

Have myself moving Tipungwuti from forward to defence and essentially trading Brown to Petracca (or a rookie that takes fancy rnd 1)

Obviously the main reason for Brown is his JS, however I can see Essendon getting beaten up regularly and he will be wilting away with a 40 average, not really generating any value to my team.

In saying this, I have a stronger than most defence with Dea and Hartley at D6 and D7.

Who would you rather start?

Brown at D8 or Petracca at M11

the added bonus of this trade for me is I can loophole Menadue and Simpkin for Round 1 and 2 until Petracca is back potentially.....

Since Trac isn't playing Rd 1 it's an easy decision for me

Are you talking about Brown 70-80 , take out his first score in NAB they won't play any team that weak this year I think he will be closer to 50 avg. if we are lucky

the guy historically has been up and down

2011: 65 33
2012: 41 80
2013: 51 52 89
2014: 88 22 59

thats his scores in his career without vests.

his last two years isnt too bad with a average of 60.2.

as i said up and down so you probably dont want him on field as could have some shockers but given has gone 60 in last 2 seasons if hed averages that he will go up about 150k by round 10.

thing with him is he is soo up and down

225k is if he goes 60 60 60 60 60 60 by round 6.
239k is if he goes 51 52 89 88 22 59 by round 6

he just needs to string together a few big games and he could be a good selling price.

2 75+ games in the space of 3 rounds and his price goes up very nicely.
