First crack at SC 2016, advice would be awesome

Havnt really gotten into he preseason as much as i thought i would but i think ive done my research and spat out this team, obviously changing for rookies dependand on teams rd1 but anyways, here we go.

B: Shaw, Laird, Lonergan, Dea, Adams, Broad (Hartley, Brown)
M: Fyfe, Danger, Ablett, Rocky, Wines, Libba, Mills, Gresham (Gore, Davis, Petracca)
R: Goldy, Nat (Grimley)
F: Dusty, Wingard, Barlow, Wells, Kerridge, Menadue (Kommer, McCarthy)

I'm pretty set in my keepers at this stage (except for wingard), backline is a little weak but if the rookies present themselves I dont mind it too much, also either lonergan or sheridan im not quite sure as yet.

Any advice is appreciated! Thanks in advance :)

Good Team. great structure.

BUT like I tell every team that has more than 1 of HEATER/GOLDY/LIDS save money and get SIMMO/HOULI and MUMMY/MARTIN/GAWN for Goldy and Heater.

I know you said that you'll adjust rookies when teams are announced, but do yourself a favour and get some that are more likely to play than Gore, Petracca and Kommer.

Davis, Oliver, Ruggles,

Move one of Adams or Brown into the fwd line to be able to take advantage of their DPP.

And please forgive my ignorance, but who is Heater?

Heater is shaw. Petracca can come in as rd 3 changeout or early downgrade. Kommer is not looking anywhere near as promising as I hoped and he is out of all my team considerations.

Not sure how much cash you have left but i feel you can't miss out on weitering down back. Will play will make cash. I would trade shaw to houli and upgrade lonergan to d rich or kolodjhasnij if you can afford. Looks good though

i dont have much cash at all left, if i cant miss weitering wondering if its worth downgrading Lonergan -> Weitering and using the $$ to upgrade a Mid rookie for B Crouch?

That would give me 2-0-6 structure in the backs and 5-2-4 in the mids with Mills the only playing rookie? is that too lopsided you think

IMO you are better off do downgrade Wingard to Hall and use the cash to upgrade Lonergan to a more proven defensive premo.

Then use any leftover cash to make changes to your midfield bench, which has 3 players on it that could well not play round 1.

You may have to sacrifice a midfield premo to be able to do this to balance your team properly. Wines to Crouch probably would fit this scenario well.
