I'm sick of reading all this rubbish about wasting a trade for a guy who has only had 2 price rises. Yet if u allocate 3 corrective trades for the year it's seemingly all fine and dandy.

Newsflash!

If papley or McGovern have 2 price risers and u trade them to petracca that is a win! Not only could it be considered a corrective trade but you pocket maybe 80-100k in the process.
is 80k really worth it though?
The issue is only IF and a BIG IF these boys last for 2 price risers.
Anyone that says they haven't made a trade in the past for 80k is either lying or kidding themselves. We have all done it.

If you haven't started a certain rookie and he kills it you need to get him in before the bubble bursts simple as that. I would do it for 1k for the right lad.

We have 30 trades --- A truckload!

nothing is more important in the first 3 rounds than getting your team ready from the get go.

Corrective trades and Sideways trades to win finals are always factored in.

But we have a very poor crop of rookies this year and may need to correct 4 by round 3.

That doesn't take into account what happened last year with Ablett and Rocky owners.

If you want him pick him. If you believe it's better to get him later than pass and do that

This discussion has been done to death now so it's time to buckle up and just make the choice  8)

Lol @ 30 trades being a truckload - Let's circle back on this towards SC finals time.

I don't see either with $80-100K price rises, especially McGov, Papley perhaps as he could be filling in for a Rohan type role.

To all the people whose argument against Petracca as a corrective trade, your whole idea is that if he comes in in the next couple of weeks, you save a trade. If he doesn't come in, you're the ones wasting a trade, So both sides have a trade on the line, but only one side has the potential to make money from theirs...

If you're in a position of having Papley, Hewett etc then Petracca is worth more consideration, but also you've planned your rooks poorly :P

Will Papley or McGovern actually get any price rise anyway??

Expecting 2 is is another reason this is fantasy sports  ;D

Anyway, no point arguing what others are doing to their own teams. The risks are known just do what's best for your own team.

Well too late to change now!

Think I'm starting Petracca too.

He is a better long term option than Hewitt, Dunkley, McGovern, Papley, etc who all have crap job security.

So my benches will be like this -

B- Brown, Tippa
M - Menadue, Gresham, Davis
R - Gotez
F - McCarthy, Petracca

I'm happy with those benches as I can switch Menadue forward via Petracca if need be till Petracca comes back.

So you're gonna run with 2 donuts?
What if something happens to Petrecca  during the time you're waiting for him to start.

Simple, I do a corrective trade and pick whoever looks the best out of Hewett, Papley, Dunkley. 8)
