Some of the coaches have come out and said they expect players to play about the same to less TOG as rests on the bench and sints on the ground will just be longer.
I think people are overstating the effect it will have.

even if that is true it would help endurance athletes and hurt burst athletes.

NN as a burst athlete could do better with say 70% game time with 7-8 small rests then 70% game time with 2-3 big rests.

Sabretooth Tigers

 :)

Nicnat was 1 of my 1st picked and is placed beside Mumford whom I expect to carry me price-wise up to Goldy before getting injured. Will be very interesting if the big M doesn't get an injury.  Methinks the Nicnat could be in for a blinder of a season.      ;)

For me the logical thing to do is give the 'Burst' athletes the same rotations as last year ... and reduce the 'Athletes' rotation by sending them forward/back.

I wouldn't be expecting a blanket 25% drop in the number of times each individual player goes to the bench as compared to their last years rotations ... I expect some players to miss rotations to the bench all together so players like NN can perform when needed at optimal eff.

I think this is why we're seeing many of the KPFs shedding ... so they don't have to go straight to the bench blowing every time they get a hard earned goal.

Totally agree with you! Weagles will do everything they can to have NicNat at his best. Someone else will cop the rotations drop for him.

He was in my first draft but is now out. Always worried about him missing games.

Has only played 22 games once in his 7 seasons

So NN high ceiling vs Stef Martin high floor? That's this thread in a nutshell.

I personally think it's the other way around, haha.

Keep in mind this is one of the first times I can remember NN has had a full pre season. He's always been carrying injuries, particularly that groin that would have forced his minutes down as he was managed through games.
At full fitness it's scary what he could do

LF

He would have likely played 22 games last season if his mother hadn't passed away, has had a full preseason this time,he is primed ready for this season and was locked in right next to Goldy when I did my team and neither of them have left it.

Now watch him disappoint.

I dont like the 3rd best midfielder in the team (at best) chances of going 115

its a serious question mark on NN.

you could see this as an opportunity for him to get more points by more time on ground.

or there is potential downside if NN is unable to physically to do it and risk injury or the other rucks eating into his scoring.

Yup, more time on ground doesn't necessarily translate to more points. If fatigue sets in it might mean that they get to less contests giving them less opportunity to win the ball. The thing is Nic Nat had his best year in SC splitting time with Cox and resting forward. I think if he has a solid ruck that means he doesn't have to attend as many contests while still getting his rests off the ground he would actually score better. If Lycett stinks it up it might actually hinder Nic Nats scoring ability.
