Pretty straight forward question - how much cash are you starting with?

Reason I ask is that the way people's strategies are falling holding extra cash could be a POD in itself.

Looks like people are avoiding the top-tier premiums in each category with the hope of trading them in once they drop (e.g. Heater, Goldy and not starting one of Fyfe, Danger, Gaz or Pendles etc).

For this to come off 3 things need to go right - 1) Top-tier premiums drop enough, 2) mid/rookies rise enough and 3) both have to fall/rise at a similar rate otherwise you'll find yourself having to make extra trades...

Starting all the super-prems is not feasible... and we know the value of a trade during the season is ~$150k... so is it worth actually holding ~$150k until you start culling your rookies

Note: this strategy is probably more applicable for those going for league

I currently have 80k in the bank, but once teams are named I'll spread that over each line to fix up any rookie selections and all that. Doubt I'll start round 1 with much more than 20k.

~40k for me

On a side note, last years winner had something like 140K in the bank at the start!  :o

that's mental! You'd have to get your starting team perfect for that to pay off, surely! I bet if he posting that starting team on FF, we all would have said "your defs are a bit weak..upgrade one of your rookies to a mid"

$600 right now.

The price you pay for starting all the super-premos.

Pretty much this, although I might be a prem down to others because the ones I'm starting are the most expensive

Pretty similar As at this stage of the season you need cash for rookie adjustments.  I usually for Rd 1 start with 20/30k in the bank.
