Who is your captain for round 1

Is this your intended set and forget captain all year?

At the moment I have Goldy but Im thinking of downgrading him to Nic Nat (or similar) to get some coin back and then rolling with Pendles

Will probably be Goldy for me, will have a Melbourne player as a loophole (King or Petracca) and they play the second game of the round so Dusty is my only VC option.

Normally thats ok but Dusty's record against Carlton is horrible, averages 72 from 11 games, his worst record by a good margin. Second worst is 85 from 8 games against St Kilda

Yeah it depends who my loophole player is. If I only get a crack at the Thursday night game then it will be Lids into Fyfe or Gaz

**apart from themselves or games that clash time-wise, probably the only poor option based on performance against opponent is Dusty

Logical choice from those options (especially for round 1) is Ablett into Danger though

Lets knock a few out then man,

Dusty: Like you mentioned... has never gone over 108 against Carlton and only has 2 100s against them in his career. Last year went 51 and 68

Shaw: in his time at GWS he has scored 97, 104, 79, 99 against Melb. He did go 147 against them for Collingwood tho. But i probably wouldn't use him personally

Fyfe: is life

Hanners: Hasn't been a huge scorer against the Pies but can throw up big games with four games over 140 last year

Ablett: is Ablett

Rocky : is Rocky

Shiel: Went 136 against Melb last year so could be a roughie worth considering. Like Fyfe, GAJ or Rocky over him though

Gawn: Up against big Mummy. I'd stay away personally

This would be the most preferred with Suns playing Twilight game.  Only issue is Demons play 2nd game for anyone using King or Petracca for loophole.
