From the amount of comments I have seen on here, I'm not so sure everyone does understand how it works.

It's pretty simple, game was over when JJ went down so everything until that point was worth more. When Smartin went down, the game continued to be close until the final minutes and he wasn't on the ground helping and so got scaled down.

I play SC because I like it as a whole, I understand it's workings peculiar or not, bottom line is we all play under the same rules. Doesn't mean I agree with all of it and I don't but I accept it because it's me that chooses to play it. We tend to remember the times we get burnt more than the times things favour us.
I had both JJ and Martin, had me some flame retardent on me before martin went down so the burn wasn't third degree quality. :P

I tend to disagree with this theory, although you are right it's how SC works.

If MRtin hadn't been there in the first half, I don't think it would be unfair to say GC would've had a 3-4 goal lead. The hit obviously fired Brissy up, but the downward scaling was ridiculous. If anything, a players score shouldn't be scaled downwards due to injury.

with Murphy and JJ out who will take the run out role for Bulldogs?  Could be a decent option.   Also Adcock in and Woods back so got coverage.
