Nasty injury for Levi's team .. think Shane Edwards broke his collar bone

RICHMOND has received positive news on the injury front in the wake of Thursday night’s disastrous NAB Challenge clash, with Shane Edwards’ collarbone believed to be fine.

The club’s footy manager Dan Richardson was upbeat on Friday morning, saying: "We're hopeful [all the injuries] are not as bad as first thought."

Edwards, 27, left the ground in the first quarter and left Etihad Stadium soon after with his arm in a sling. He went straight to the hospital for x-rays and there were concerns his collarbone was broken.

Hardwick says 15-man Tigers 'no big deal'

"Early indications are we haven't detected a fracture or anything severe at this stage," Richardson said.

Edwards is facing further assessment.

The club confirmed Reece Conca had suffered a 'standard hamstring' and will miss 3-4 weeks.

Richardson said Shaun Grigg (fractured thumb) and Jacob Townsend (concussion) are both facing short recoveries.
