Even if he is sidelined for a month, he could be an extremely handy POD in SC Finals. So unless it is confirmed to be season ending, I think I'm going to keep him as I have limited cash and trades.

Gigantor

If he is out for a month I can't see GC bringing him back for the last 3 rounds, they would probably just put him in cotton wool for the year.

Raiden

Ablett i doubt would rush coming back, if anything i would add & extra 1-2 weeks on what they eventually list him out for. As Gigantor mentioned if his out for 4 weeks, then he will be put on ice for the remainder of the year, if they list him as 1-2 then he probably comes back in 4.

GOLD Coast is hopeful champion Gary Ablett could be back playing within four weeks.

Ablett, 32, will have scans on his troublesome left shoulder on Monday, almost two years to the day since he first dislocated the joint.

The best result for Ablett and Suns would be 1-2 weeks on the sidelines but he could miss up to four weeks depending on the severity of the injury.

yeah id be surprised if we saw gaz again this year. all this hard work he has done to finally get over the shoulder and its tweaked again. he'll be a nervous wreck.

roo boys!

Gigantor

Based on this years pricing and his current average he will be 616600 next year....pass for me not worth the risk imho

RaisyDaisy

The last 2 years have been horrible for him

Imagine he if was injury free? Could be spoken of as THE greatest

Hope to see the master back to his best next year

Decisions decisions now - thinking Hanners or Priddis

The end of a gun fantasy wise

I'd like to see him come back and have a great year next year, perhaps lead GCS to finals. A champion.  Maybe he won't be as prolific but he still has a lot to offer.

Hopefully just this year. There isn't a real footy supporter of the last 10 or so years that hasn't wished that Gazza wasn't wearing the colours of the team they barracked for. Let's hope the little champ comes back next year better than ever. Personally won't start with him but hope I have to sideways him in because he beats the odds. And after the team I started with this year I'm the " sideways master"      Absolutely no idea of who comes in for him. I have Danger,  Jelwood,  Hanners,  Parker,  Pendles,  Cripps,  and of course Libba.    In one, totally meaningfully, honestly and appealing word,    heeeeeeeeeeellp !!!!!!                 ::)

Big Mac

My uncle reckons this is the end for him

Hopefully not though, even if he just sits in the forward pocket he could still kick 60 goals I reckon

My shoulder is a bit sore too - could you ask your uncle how my future is looking? 8)

Hopefully the little master comes back stronger and better!

LOL JS

As long as he is confident in his shoulder, he could easily play for another 3 years

MontyJnr

He is still playing full time in the midfield.

When he makes a move to the forward line, then we can start speculating how long he has left.

I personally think we've seen the last of Gary as a dominant force. And I don't think many of us would want to see him simply "making up the numbers". Whether Gaz would want to go out as an also-ran in a team with no chance of playing finals is up to him (and his lawyers). Maybe the Cats can lure him down to Geelong where he will go out in style. I'm no Geelong fan, far from it, but I think I'd like to see that.
