wouldnt be shocked if he misses more than 1 week. still undecided on him. could straight swap to sloane/gray

Done.  Traded him to Sloane and if, as I hope because he is an out and out champ, Gazza comes back I'll have no qualms to double trade him. But ATM I need points.         :'( :o :) ;)

I have thought about this more and can probably see merit in trading him ONLY if you are chasing overall and it allows you to bring in 2 genuine premiums this week.

If you are sideway trading Ablett to a premium and doing a rookie downgrade as well, then there is no point. Just use the money from the rookie downgrade to upgrade another rookie to a premium and keep Ablett.

Pending teams I still might trade him. Would be a double sideways though, Ablett and Barlow etc

Not ruling it out.

hes not worth enough to be able to get 2 prems. Worth less than most genuine prems already..

I'm talking about a situation where someone already has the cash in the bank to upgrade a rookie and then decides to sideways Ablett to another premium as well. Or has another under performing premium eg. Barlow and decides to sideways him on top of Ablett.

But if someone decides to downgrade Brown to MacPherson and trade Ablett to Priddis, then they are achieving no more than me trading Brown to MacPherson and Kerridge to Priddis. Except I get to keep Ablett and give myself a chance to get him back next week.

Again its going to depend on your team structure - who is out and for how long

In my case if I trade him out whoever I bring in will undoubtly be hit by a meteor shower in the 1st 5 minutes of the game

I'll wait for the teams before sacrificing a trade and some poor bloke to the SC footy gods

I agree with RD. I was only dropping ablett if it meant an extra premo in my team. I was going to downgrade upgrade to get 1 premo in and gaz is one premo out.

however with barlow now out i have pulled the trigger and gone Bartel to Docherty. Now obvisouly the only way i can bring in a premo is a straight swap so out ablett in sloane.

its a risky move taking him out but if you do and its 2-3 weeks and he comes back slow then you can move a long way up the table.

im coming 161 so this move could put me top 100 or even top 50.

Bartel to Docherty Holz?

Barlow  to Dock you mean?

Well now with teams announced I am most likely going to trade out Ablett and Barlow

Why?

Ablett did well in his first 3 games when GC won, and since then his next 5 have been average

Add to that I have so many outs this week, and because I already have 8 prem mids I don't mind dropping GAJ

I'll look into things shortly, but I'd say it's almost certain I will be dropping him

crowls

seems to go against the grain of your judicious use of trades.

RaisyDaisy

Well that's just it

We always follow the unwritten rules, but sometimes we need to break them

Ablett has averaged 98.4 over the past 5 weeks

He is no longer the perma captain

I need to avoid donuts haha

He's gone

Jukes

RD for Australian of the year week imho

Monty jnr are you really getting rid  of Kerridge this week? Surely he has enough credits in the bank..
