I've decided to pass on the mid pricers because like Rico I am not 100% convinced they can get there

GnR for me down back I think

Lonergan might be used as a stepping stone to get to Hurn...

I prefer Sheridan over Lonergan because I see him averaging the same, but without the guarantee of scoring poorly when the team is at full strength. I reckon he could be a keeper.

Last year MacMillan & Roberton were bargains, both priced under 300k, it is possible to get keepers from the bargain basement bin.

Yes but how many people started them? It's extremely difficult to pick which is why I am probably going to avoid them all together

That being said, there are still several factors like how many rookies will actually play etc which influences decisions and structures

Anyway, back onto Hurn talk!

Just putting my opinion in ... If Mitch brown was named in the eagles round 1 side(and obviously regarded as a best 22 player) ... I think hurn would have been a very decent pick this season.

With Mitch brown out - that puts a line through hurn for me as he may be asked to play similar roles as last season therefore making him a poor option for sc.

However I hope I am wrong for the Eagles sake

I would have thought this affects McGovern the most as he will now play as a key back? Hurn shouldn't be too affected with Mackenzie, McGovern and Schofield still there to play tall

Yes but without brown as well his potential role as a rebounding back is not as certain

See I disagree hurn was only one of brown or Emac returning to get the rebound roll back now that 1/2 is back he's deffs got that spot. McGovern imo was almost without a position if brown AND emac were fit now mits gets Browns position, schofield next then u would have hurn as running back

Sheppard and Wellingham rebound more than Hurn now

Maybe last year when you had zero lock down defenders available. Won't be so with Mackenzie back

EMack takes the best forward/centre half forward, which is what Gov, Schoey etc did last year. Brown injured doesn't help

Hurn rebounded when it was him and Waters while EMack and Glassy took the guns. Hurn will still intercept/rebound but not as much as the past

He'll rebound as much as ever

Spite

Wellingham is also injured isn't he?
