Looking for team advice!

I think this is a pretty solid start, but im wondering if not taking Goldy now will hurt me in the long run?
Taking a fair chance on a few rookies here obviously, but there have been some decent scores in the NAB amongst them

Fairly solid defence. Yeo and Smith were both firmly in my plans early on but have both fallen out of favour throughout the NAB. I now have Hurn and Tommy Sheridan instead. I don't see the point in picking Joel Tippett? Nathan Broad (for example) is 80k cheaper and will probably average the same if not more.

Very solid midfield. Love the Gray pick, although others are ahead of him on my personal radar so I won't start him. Obviously your rookies are subject to change pending round 1 selection, but straight away I would observe that Mathieson is much more likely than Keays. I like all the DPP links you have made!

I am all for setting and forgetting the rucks, so I am biased when I say that I don't like the Lobbe pick. If he stuffs up, many will be in that boat with you, risk vs. reward. As for your question, will not taking Goldy now hurt you in the long run? It may, it may not, that's the $50,000 question. I am starting Goldy. A couple of times he has been out of my side then back in within the hour.

I like this forward line, a bit PODiffy. As an Essendon supporter, I think you'd be much better off downgrading Simpkin and using the cash elsewhere. In fact, if you decide you do want to start Goldy, you shouldn't feel too uncomfortable downgrading both Simpkin and De Goey. Wells at F4 is plenty deep enough as there are plenty of good forward rookies.

Thanks for the suggestion! I was sitting on the fence with tippett to be honest so it is good to see another opinion on him! You are right of course as well that it would be sensible to save 80k here and either invest it or use to upgrade now.

Im proud that I have so many DPP in my team, it wasnt my first intention when making this team but it definitely comes in handy with coverage.

As for Robbie Gray, he has been a stalwart in my team for the last 2 years and does not dissapoint. Im hoping he continues his fine form this year! I was tossing up whether to include ollie wines, but it is difficult to slot him in.

I like De Goey tbh, i think he will breakout this year! Staying for now. And yes, i will play around with my rookies pre round 1.

Thanks for the awesome critique!
