EXCLUSIVE: ALL-AUSTRALIAN swingman Cale Hooker has received a lucrative long-term offer from the Fremantle Dockers.

Foxfooty.com.au understands Hooker has been offered a five-year deal to depart Essendon for the Dockers for the 2017 season.

The 27-year-old is one of the game’s prized free agents in 2016 and is likely to carry restricted status.

i think they are all delisted free agents or some crap so they can walk or stay if they want but clubs can make offers i dunno

I'm pretty sure you're not allowed to officially approach players until the end of the year. From memory there was a big stink when Sydney talked to Tippett before the season, even though at the time he was suffering from a season ending injury (pretty sure it was syd/Tippett anyway)

Fremantle FC would not have spoken directly to Cale Hooker, They would have directed any offer through his agent.There is a big difference.
I believe that the clubs can talk to the agent of a player , but not to the player himself.
