DRAFT IS FINISHED

Rules
- You can not go over 30,000 points BE CAREFUL WHEN PICKING PLAYERS WITH POINTS ATTACHED
- Each team has 24 hours to pick, but if you are online during the time of your pick, you only have 2 hours to make that selection (co-coaches need to be wary of this). After this time you'll be auto picked the next available player from the AFL draft, or alphabetically if no AFL draft players remain
- If you plan to pass a certain pick, you may want to do it in advance so we don't have to wait for you to pass.
- You can also choose to have a pick automatically selected in advance; which will be the highest AFL draft pick available. If all AFL draft picks are picked, we then go alphabetically from the delisted players.

So Essendon as FINALLY got all their top-ups, which means we can go about drafting them.

As there didn't seem to be any major objections to the draft order that I proposed, I'm gonna go ahead with it. I introduced it here.

So yes, there is only 10 players coming in, replacing 17 that went out, which means 7 teams are just gonna have to accept a Rookie Promotion spot. You don't have to promote your Rookie now, you can do it whenever you like throughout the year, it's just when you promote them, they will be promoted for the whole year. Also, if you have a pick inside the top 10, you don't have to choose a player, you can opt to PASS and receive the right to promote a rookie.

You select these players, knowing that they will come off your list when the season is over, regardless if they get selected by another (or retained by the same) AFL club

If you had one of these players in the past, you DO NOT have the first right at choosing them. HOWEVER, if they are to be drafted at the end of the year, you will have rights to select them then, and NOT the team that selected them as a top-up player.

So the draft order is as folllows:

1. Moscow - Jonathan Simpkin
2. Pacific - James Kelly
3. Moscow - James Polkinghorne
4. Cairo - Mathew Stokes
5. Toronto - Ryan Crowley
6. Tokyo - Sam Grimley
7. Berlin - Nathan Grima
8. Mexico City - Sam Michael
9. Pacific - Mark Jamar
10. Christchurch - PASS
11. Cape Town - Matt Dea
12. New York - PASS
13. Moscow - PASS
14. Cairo - PASS
15. Beijing - PASS
16. Toronto - PASS
17. Seoul - PASS

I expect this guy to flourish in 2016:

Jonathan Simpkin

To move this draft along.   Pacific may have just got themselves a pretty useful M6.  :)

James Kelly    thank you

Reckon you've done well with losing Colyer & Hocking to gain Matt Stokes :P

Pretty happy tbh, covers both fairly well.

Happy old mate Ryan Crowley's found a good home. Rumour has it he misses Alexandria a lot. :P
