surely they would want some match time into him

Well he's not injured as far as I know, they're a professional AFL club and I would think they know what they're doing.

Nab 3 and an intra club game before round 1 would be enough for a player of his skill surely ?

What you don't want is 2nd-3rd weekly "general soreness" during the real season.

So that means you have to rule out all players that are returning from injury this year, its a possibility for all of them.

How'd you come to that conclusion?  Crouch has missed games consistently for his entire career and he's meant to be fully fit yet still has to miss games.  Guys coming off 1 single serious injury are usually good to go due to all the rehab they have to get on the track.  Brad seems a bit reckless from what the coaches are saying and pushes himself into these scenarios.

I thought you were talking about general soreness ? .. like I say he's a risk, if you don't want to take the risk then don't put him in  :)

Crouch has never had a good run and whenever he's played AFL he's scored well, so without a good preseason you can at least expect what he's done in the past imo, and Dangers gone so you'd think an even bigger role :P

Worth the risk if he's lined up round 1! :P

Yeah I know the risk reward, it'll all depend on the that NAB 3 and how he pulls up after I think.  He was in my team for the whole pre season up until last week, but if he is fit and firing it would be crushing to miss out on him....tough I reckon.

Very tough, totally agree, let's just see what happens in the next few weeks then we can make a better call.

Nahhhh why worry, Locked & Loaded since day 1 asif he doesn't play a 20 game season and average 105-110 this year.

110 at an absolute minimum I reckon. Clearly he's in the best dozen players in the league.

nostradamus

Not worried really .......... Currently sitting at M8 in my side, if he plays NAB 3 and lines up round 1 he stays, if not plan B, or should l say plan M  ;)

RaisyDaisy

It's not general soreness.

Pyke said it's a groin niggle. Not exactly great, but we'll know more next week

I see what you did there, and I quite like it  ;D

yorgis

I've had him since AFL Fantasy opened. I'm still convinced he will be a very good player, but at this stage i'm letting him go. Would not surprise me if he is named for round 1 and played a bit cautiously. He played only 14 games in 2014 and 11 in 2015.  He may actually drop more in price. Rather pick his bro' at this stage.

Grazz

Keep the faith people, he'll play NAB 3 kill it and alleviate all concerns.

In my mind the reward outweighs the risk by bloody big heaps and at $306,100 he's a steal. If he lines up in Rd.1 or looks like lining up in Rd.2 he stays in my team.          ;)

Well yeh that's basically what general soreness is, niggles haha. Sounds like he'll be ok, needs to get through NAB 3
