what do people think about jarrod lyons as a crouch replacement. On the radar after NAB but couldn't get in the side. scored 97 last week. priced at 241,900K

Could be good, but need 1 more week to watch him...and will he go straight out when Crouch returns?

this is true. coulld be straight for crouch in about 3 weeks

No idea what I'm gonna do... Not really enough spare cash to upgrade him (can afford up to $475k), but no downgrades I much like the look of either...

Zaharakis at 469k probably makes the most sense

Yeah I was thinking that but good scores were against suns and dees, then ton against port, hasn't really faced top tier opposition yet (though arguably the suns have stepped up a bit). Geelong, Collingwood, Carlton, Sydney and North coming up, could be a tough run...

True, but he should have a good chance of being one of the highest scoring Dons every week

They will lose, but some of their players can still score 100+

True, I'm just not sure it'll be worth it in the long haul. My other oprion is to downgrade someone else (like DeGoey or Seeds) and upgrade Crouch to whoever I want, but that's another trade and options are limited... Hartley on the bubble, take a punt on Ruggles backing up, or just get Petracca and hold? But I'm reluctant to do that as I picked DeGoey and Seeds to take a chance, feels a bit of a cop out to cut them this early.

Looking to upgrade Crouch. Parker seems the obvious pick, however I would really like Zorko as a POD in the forward line. Is it crazy to get him in over Parker and move him forward in due course? Or should I just stick with Parker?
Don't see anything wrong with this. And you could always swing a fwd rookie into your mids, yeah?
Can swing Kerridge or B Kennedy in there if needed

Can afford to get Sloane at 540k, just miss on Zorko & Selwood. Is he worth it? Not setting the world alight but has the potential to rip out a big score any time soon. The other option is Prestia but I prefer Sloane to be honest.

He's not exactly showing signs of ripping out a big one at the moment. Can you use DPP to get someone like Houli or Gibson instead as the midfield options at that price aren't that inviting?

Feel I would be chasing points on those two, they are too expensive for defenders ATM. Who is the best mid available at 540k? Can see Wines is cheap, Murphy maybe?

I like the Zorko pick, but don't think he will be that unique for long.

Risky pick I think, would rather take a punt on Wines who is only marginally more expensive. Kieran Jack is another to consider but the Swans are a nightmare with the way they share the points around.

Sounding a little desperate Bully

Don't take a 2nd tier option for the sake of it. If you need to wait another week, or do something else to bring in a top shelf player than do it

Probably good advice, might just hold fire and field a rookie for a week.

reading this has helped me to cool my trigger finger haha, only option for me was mills to ruggles and crouch to zaha but i don't feel very comfortable doing that, other more drastic option was boyd down to weits and crouch to whoever i like.. holding, for now..

The question , given this is a Couch orientated post, is how long will BCouch be out
AFL website says 2-3 weeks but will he be bought straight back in?
I am a lucky one - missed most other troubles (switching to the McLaren Vale Shiraz has helped late night selections a lot)
Rooks are not ripe - $306K + $80k bank does not buy a lot of good options
Have Davis or Menadue as options with Hewlett rested
Reckon I will hold on to my trades too, see if he is back, alternatively ripen a rook and chase a fallen prem!

With McCarthy being axed I'm moving on Crouch this week, Selwood will be coming in and I will wear the potential loss of $$ when McCarthy eventually returns. It's a simple case of points versus income, at this stage my ranking is so poor I need to get aggressive, simply cannot afford to field a rookie for 2-3 weeks.

Depends how the team performs but could be given a week or two in the SANFL to get him right due to his importance to the Crows.
