these players get delisted from AXV teams at the end of the year right? and go in the draft again if get put on a AFL list

Nah I'm thinking you draft them you keep them, then ofc you'll just have to delist x many more players at the end of the year to get down to the normal 52.

Seems the logical decision

I would not be surprised if 1-3 top-up players received extended contracts from Essendon at the end of the season (it would have to be some of the younger top-up players and they would really have to impress)
