Tom Clurey is arguably in our best 22 and Monfries/Ryder aren't playing this year so I don't know what drugs afl.com.au are taking lol

Good work by the Demons and Maxy Gawn

Choosing not to watch the rest of the game, O'Shea playing on in the back 50 was the last straw. If Port keeps playing these braindead idiots there is no way we are making finals

O'Shea isn't AFL standard, Butcher isn't AFL standard, Byrnes-Jones isn't AFL standard, and Young isn't AFL standard.

THE ANSWER IS SIMPLE... WE MISSED THE DELISTMENT DATE FOR ALL OF THESE SPUDS!!!

DON'T FLOWERING PLAY THEM

Also, this is tough because we don't have Ryder, but Lobbe was dominated. I don't know what happened to him since 2014 but he is a 2nd ruck at best at this juncture  >:(

Honestly, playing John Butcher is like fielding half a team  >:(

Flower his second chance. I would have rather kept Andrew Moore  >:(

PowerBug

The Hawks got dominated and the Crows won by 100 points last week so clearly this shows how pre-season matches actually are a sign of what is NOT to come in the regular season ;)

I'm not worrying about that result, the Demons said they were playing their best 22 each week of the pre-season remember :P

Can understand you being upset PSK that was a poor performance from a fairly strong side NAB or not and yes I don't think Lobbe can do the job for you this year he might do ok against the smaller or lesser rucks but he just does not get possessions and gives away to many frees in short he is not big enough

+1

He was slaughtered - I think it won't take long for Dougal Howard to push ahead of him (I'm not sure what has happened to him because he was brilliant over the 2013 & 14 seasons - Ryder's gone now so it's not an excuse for him anymore...)

If it were a H&A game, gAWN would get 3 votes - he was exceptional

Can't be so kneejerk over NAB matches, nobody takes them seriously.

Yeah I guess it's only a NAB game. However, that was the Power's full strength side (minus Wingard & Dixon) and the Dees full strength side (minus Vince & Jones).

If we played that horrendously during a NAB game, there is a strong possibility it could happen again during the H&A season.

The complete second half fade out was literally an uncanny replay of what went wrong in 2015 - exactly what I saw when we played the Lions & the Blues. I thought we would have it out of our system by now, but I'm worried that my fears of us not playing finals again will come true (and this time there will be no players demanding a move to Port). From what I've seen, the Pies, Cats, & Richmond have all been significantly more convincing - and to be completely honest, our B side from last week were better (never a good sign) - they at least competed for a full four quarters.

On a positive note, I've really liked what I've seen from Toumpas and Travis Boak looked better than ever  :)

The spuds were the same as always (Butcher really needs to go)

The amount of free kicks we give away is really costing us (Lobbe & Schulz being the worst in this category)

Call me a passionate supporter, but that second half was a bs effort - when a team wants to be a GF challenger, they should not perform like that with a strong line-up, even in a pre-season match - it ruined my day

That being said, I don't want to detract from the Demon's win. It was well deserved victory for a club that is stepping in the right direction - gAWN really looks like the next great ruck

Again, the Hawks got belted today are you saying they are bottom 4 material?

Maybe there was a different game plan in place you can't say for sure.

Come on mate. The Hawks were playing a B side. We had a lineup close to our best 22

The only positive I can take out of this game was the performances of Boak, Toumpas, Westhoff, Hombsch, Pittard, & arguably Broadbent. But primarily, the biggest positive is that it was only a scratch match and the players have received a much needed reality check (it was almost like there was literally one team on the field during the second half).

No matter when the players flower up, you can count of him to rectify it  :)

If they play like this during the H&A season one thing is for certain... they aren't playing finals. I'm getting sick of the inconsistency (2013 was a good year, 2014 & 15 were reliant on form... form rarely wins premierships, and it never wins more than one - I want to see some consistency, that seems to be the goal for this team going into 2016).
