With Menadue looking good to start rd1, I am considering going with a 2 prem forward line (Martin and Barlow) and then dropping Buddy for a prem defender as the rookies down there are not looking that flash anymore

Ive moved to the same position. Dropped Dahl to put another def prem in.

There's too much rookie/mid price value in the forwards and mids to not go with a strong backline this year IMO. I will go in with 1 premo forward by the looks of it.

It's something that's also been on my mind, will have to wait and see I guess. At the moment I have Hartley, Brown, Brown, Collins (50/50), and hopefully Tippa (50/50). Of those I think Brown from Essendon is good enough to play on the ground, the rest may not be fantastic point scorers. Really need a Broad or Tucker in there to get the point generation.

Why would you have Williams when his JS is so shaky? If I was a selector at GWS I wouldn't pick him in the best 22.

I think it's pretty clear cut, if Williams is picked he'll probably score quite well, at least that's what his end to last year says.

because he will score like a premo if he plays. So just need to monitor how he looks over the next few weeks. Why pay 500k for Simpson when Williams can score the same ammount.

Another player to watch out for in defence is Darcy Byrne-Jones, he's an exceptional all-round athlete with good skills.

Not sure why, he has elite speed & endurance, is a strong one on one player and was knocking on the door last year. Has regularly hit 20 touches in the SANFL so I don't see huge holes in his game. Occasionally his kicking lets him down but I would classify his skills as good for the most part.
