Team selection perfect, no changes was the right choice. Wouldn't surprise to see a late change with Knight coming in for Hartigan/Cheney with the Tiges dropping Griff. Neither deserve to dropped though so I'm not sure what the club will do.

Can we hurry up and give JJ exactly what is required to get pen to paper PLEASE.
He wants to stay and we can't afford to lose him, plently of time to get it done but I hope they hurry up as well.

Yeh he does want to stay, very happy here. The sticking point is the term of the contract, wants a long term deal.
Just give it to him already whats there to think about.

Agree. He should be a long term prospect so give him a decent contract. Perfect foil to the rest of our forward line.

So our superstar inbred Danger replacement Brad Crouch has sore hammy's. sheesh kid!

The good news I suppose is the talented but perennial overlooked Jarryd Lyons gets an "UNSUBED" Go at it again. Personally I like him up forward but he's probably the best clearance player in the SANFL so let's just have a look at him this week and see if he can get anywhere near his top dominant SANFL best!

About time he stood up too! Adelaide Reserves team with the likes of Grigg, Lyons, CEY, VB ect have been completely dominating their opp this season and those first three Grigg, CEY and Lyons are far too good for the SANFL and have been for three years!

So, who among them an STEP IT UP and transform their brilliant Reserves form to the AFL? Grigg showed signs before injurylast year. CEY was terrific for six weeks and Lyons always looks hand but, which kid will step u and cement his spot or, risk being traded or delisted in October?

So, a disappointing game on Friday night. Those last 5 minutes had so many stupid errors and some efforts were just pathetic. Brodie Smith's kick who is meant to be our best kick, misses a 20m kick to Seedsman and it costs us a goal, Cheney's pathetic effort against Puopolo running into goal, he is a bigger body and he just allowed Puopolo to get his foot on it and he kicks the goal. Laird also nearly had his worse game for the club in a few years, so many errors and just rushing his kicks cost us a lot.

Brad Crouch is back next week, no idea who makes way. Menzel and Knight also knocking down the door, CEY has been emergency the last few weeks so he is close, Hendo is gaining some fitness back.

Not sure on our changes. We're getting cut up by the small/medium forwards lately, Heeney and Puopolo the last two weeks. I understand why we drafted Doedee now, is that medium defender we need and was apparently the best 1 on 1 defender in the U18's according to his coach (I think ???). Pity he didn't have a pre season and has only started playing SANFL, obviously he is still raw as a player but I hope he comes on as much as we want. Cheney like I stated above had a few awful moments resulting in goals so I wouldn't mind he goes out, preferably for someone who can defend, someone like Kelly potentially. Now with Crouch, do we go like for like and drop Lyons? He has been good though so unfair to drop him but might have to unfortunately.

tbagrocks

Yeah I don't think Kelly and Henderson will be far away from a game. The two teams we lost two North and the cheats have the oldest list, which was what was so pleasing about beating the Swans in that cracker game last week

I just think it is that little bit of older experienced players teams like North and Hawthorn have that is the difference, especially when those games were on the line in the last ten minutes of games. You can train all you want but that experience only comes from that, those gut wrenching losses to those nard nosed teams

I can see us making the big dance yet :o

If Henderson does get a game anytime soon, I don't want him anywhere near the backline. Can't defend to save his life. He's a free agent as well so won't be surprised if he leaves at the end of the year.

''Brad Crouch trained very strongly on Saturday,'' Burton said.

Yes we all know the inbred soft Paddy is a superstar and we all now know what I knew 6 months ago. That Adelaide is still a finals team without him .....

But the guy that didn't play last year that might be the one guy that can match Paddy in clearances when we face Geelong in a few weeks (Though personally it wouldn't surprise me if Paddy missed the flight, as Skurtly did for four years to face Adelaide  :P ) Brad Crouch could be set to play and this time he might be fit! 8)

Brad Crouch was the guy us over here thought could come in and fill the void (Not that we need it with 22 contributors in an 18 man game every week, which you guys forgot when having Adelaide slide out of the 8 ::) ) But a fir Crouch is an elite contested and stoppage player. It looks like he might be fit :-X

PowerBug

There's no point trying to find 1 player to replace Patrick Dangerfield. You just need whoever plays in his spot to be a fair proportion of him and then have the other players lift their game that bit more to make up the difference.

Scott Thompson I reckon has gotten just that little bit better this season, as has Lynch, MCrouch, Laird and I'm sure you guys that watch the crows closer will be able to name a few more.

The big question is, can they keep it up?

I think so given they managed to last season even after they lost the late Phil Walsh, still won a final. The run and carry is even better this year with Seeds and the forwards are better again with McGovern and Menzel adding depth

I'm still now thinking top 4, going to be a ripper of a year for all if teams like North, Dggies and Crows keep raising the bar

So my main man Lairdy missing for 2-3 weeks which is bad news for our run at Docklands, made easier by the injuries to key WB half backers recently, but still :-\  So this leaves a spot for the battle of two, one being a midfielder though!

Surely Hendo comes straight in for Lairdy? But wait, Brad Crouch is fit and firing? All eyes on 5.55pm Thursday!

I don't think we need Mackay tbh, Hendo and Crouch both in suits me fine! Even Cheney or Hartigan as harsh as it seems, rather have both Hendo and Crouch over Mackay/Hartigan/Cheney With Lairdy out only one of those three to drop! Which makes sense with no Boyd and a smaller Bulldog forwards

Never been a huge fan of Mackay but he has something Hendo doesn't, the ability to defend and provide pressure! Layed 10 tackles against the Hawks, not the time to drop him. If Hendo comes in for Laird, I'd be pushing Seed to the pocket and put Hendo on the wing, get him away from the defensive 50. And Crouch comes in for Lyons, unless they change the side around a bit then I don't know what they'll do. Milera also a big chance to come back in but for who I don't know unless he is preferred which I hope he is to Hendo on the wing.
