Thought Mackay was a bit of spud particularly last year, but he's really improved his pressure acts this year though which was something previously missing in his game. Averaging 5.2 tackles a game this season and his previous best for any year was 4.0.

Surfed with ole mate Batman today, he looks in good nick and the number 9 should be fresh and ready to go this weekend ;)

I seriously have to question why Jarryd Lyons stayed on here! At least he would have had an excuse to leave unlike that pathetic soft sook Paddy ::)

But JL has been dropped again and this time with no sub vests and really good footy the poor kid, has been left out for the A grade Crouch B. As I stated earlier in the week, I thought those two ins would happen but really thought others have had less impact than the seriously unlucky Lyons :-\

I never thought i'd say it but, we miss Paddy D. Only because we are really short in the midfield now with senior or talented midfielders.

Defence and forwardine as good as any although the defence is young, Brown, Cheney, Hartigan are playing good footy despite the amount of inside 50s against

But that inside 50s is alarming for the crows! I put it down to the underwhelming midfield. Douglas, Brad and Matt Crouch are good but haven't improved. Lyons cant get noticed, CEY hasn't taken the bull by the horns despite starring at SANFL level and neither has Griggy. Gore, Wigg and still Milera will take time. So ...........

WE NEED SOMEONE TO STEP IT UP IN THE MIDFIELD. Brad Crouch hasn't, so I expect maybe Cam Ellis-Yolmen to get a crack this week and hopefully my boy Jarryd Lyons. If these two cannot support Sloane and Thommo then, (Although I still expect Crouch Bros to improve) good luck crows cracking the top four!

Someone, somewhere, just lost a lot of money in a bet

Get CEY in there or even Grigg
Not because I have them in XV comps or anything

I think I was one of the more pessimistic Crows fans in regard to our midfield being able to cover Dangerfield. At the moment it is just Sloane vs an entire midfield. Even Thommo hasn't provided any support, he's a step too slow and doesn't hurt teams at all.

I'd give Brad a run in the SANFL for 3 weeks'ish just to get some solid form up and bring Grigg in. He's paid his dues in the SANFL for years and dominated every season. Lyons I'd like to see back in too. Matty Crouch has been okay, I'd persist with him. Honestly I think I'd put Betts in the centre square a little bit more often too, just someone with a bit of pace.

I'm with you tbag, someone has to provide some support to Sloaney, otherwise we're not going to go very far.

Thompson will apparently be rested soon. Possibly this week if Hall and Gary miss for the Suns? It won't be next week against the Giants surely.

Charlie Cameron was fantastic in the midfield against the Cats (really impressive ability to get the ball out of danger in the back half and rebound it into the forward half). He's a great shot from a distance and scores with relative ease on the run - he has always been a terrific pressure players as well... like Cyril, once he has you in the tackle... you're locked.

Do Crows fans see him playing more in the midfield this season? Will his role against Geelong continue into this round?

Hopefully it continues, we're pretty slow in the middle.

come back paddy

Van Berlo taking the spot of a kid is just a joke. Let a couple of Crouch, Crouch, CEY, Grigg get a run against a terrible side and get some confidence up! We didn't need to get any older and slower..

I understand what they are trying to do but, I seriously think overlooking Brad Crouch against the perennial tankers ::)  was not a good idea. Kid went back and banked 11 clearances and I would've thought his size and ability was needed against the cheating tanking talented Giants :-\

If the Giants are tanking they're doing a pretty rubbish job at it.

Yes they did didn't they! Three straight years of number one draft picks, tanking at it's best. Nice of you to notice Richo ;)

As usual the morons on FF cant keep up with what I'm saying ;)
