Okay so 2015 wasn't the greatest year for me in Supercoach and i'm looking to redeem myself!

I believe the team I have can do just that! If anyone can help me out here would greatly appreciate!

Backs: Shaw, Simpson, Bartel, Luke Mcdonald, Francis, Bonner Hartley, Hibberd

Midfield Fyfe, Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy, Liberatore, Mills, Parish, Trengove Grisham, Polkinghorne, Mathieson

Rucks: Jacobs, Leuenberger Cox

Forwards: Martin, Zorko, Barlow, Franklin, D.Menzel, Kerridge Kommer, Willis

got about 13k left, please let me know what you think :)

Like the structure -

backs: very strong maybe a little too strong could drop one of Shaw or Simpson back to a lower priced prem. Defence is the hard line to nail this year.
Mids: No Rocky - too hard to ignore at his price maybe Kennedy to Rocky will also gain you an additional 80k,.
Rucks: A unique combo - need tp watch Berger with him being managed.  have a plan B up your sleeve
Fwds - No issues here - Try and maybe get Wells instead of Menzell.
No comments on rookies as we will not know until rd 1 teams announced.

Cookie Monster

Thanks for the advice, will keep tabs on Wells!

I still believe Kennedy will only improve with more time up forward but that's just my own opinion!

Will definitely use some of your advice!

DEF: Very solid.

MID: Rocky just has to be in there. Although JPK's goal record will improve, his disposals can only go down.

RUC: Berger is injured at the moment, and just burns those who have him every year, so I would avoid him.

FOR: Once again, Menzel is just too injury prone.

I suggest downgrading Menzel to a forward rookie to give you a bit more cash. Trengove (unlikely to play round 1) and Francis (questionable JS and scoring ability as a tall defender) could also be downgraded to 117k/123k rookies, as there should be plenty of cheap options come round 1. Perhaps even Rocky for JPK as well.

With that money, you should be able to upgrade 1 or both of Mcdonald and Berger to premiums.

I just think you're gonna suffer unnecessary trauma with Menzel and Berger in the side when they get injured!

Cookie Monster

You do realise JPK is playing up forward more because of the rotation cap being at 90, so he's still going to get the same midfield time maybe 1 or 2 minutes less, just playing up forward more than going on the bench.

As good as Rockliff is, and as good as he may be this year, there are a lot of midfielders in that Brisbane team, although he's probably going to play up forward more than say Beams.

Menzel i'm happy to take a risk on, being cheap he only needs to play 6 or 7 games and have an average of 80 and make some good cash.

I'll keep an eye on Berger as he is coming back into full training in the next couple of weeks so he might be in line for the last nab challenge game!

The McDonald pick down back is interesting. He was fringe 22 last year and seemed to struggle, is there any particular reason you see him breaking out?

The only real omission I see in the midfield is Rocky which has already been said. The other 4 are good starters, but I think you need to find a way to get Rocky in there as well.

I don't think you can trust Leuenberger, the last time he struggled with achilles soreness in the pre-season it went in the first couple of rounds and he was done for the year.

Very strong in the forward line, I don't think Menzel is cheap enough to be worth starting considering he's injury history and the fact he has was never a big scorer pre knees anyway. Wells and Simpkin seem like they could be just as viable and cheaper. If you need to free up cash to strengthen other lines then Zorko/Franklin is where I assume it will come from.

Cookie Monster

I've been thinking about Mcdonald for a while, he impressed in the nab challenge all be it against the Saints, 2nd year blues get to most rookies, only very few don't get them I just have a feeling that he'll bounce back, he seems like the type of guy who would be really disappointed with the season he had last year and seems like he's worked really hard to get back.

I think i'm pretty happy with my forward line, if i were to downgrade Zorko for 80-100k those 400k-480k are all those key forwads who play well when the team plays well or small forwards in the same situation and don't trust them to give out consistant 90-100 scores. Betts is a great example, could play 2-3 awesome games then go missing for the next 5 and repeat.

Although i am still keeping an eye on Leuenberger i have been looking for a replacement and trying to figure out where to get some cash from but just can't seem to find a way at the moment!

Thanks for all the advice, i'll do my best to get Rocky in, but Kennedy is going to average 120 and win the brownlow so he's not leaving! :P

Keep Kennedy, just turn one of the mid rookies (Trengove) into Grimley for the DPP link and turn Zorko into Rocky

Oh great, i keep neglecting to use the DPP before the season starts! happens every year!

Mat0369

Well that is a ruck DPP not a mid DPP haha, once rookies are named you might be able to find one then.

Okay so with most of the advice taken into consideration i've been able to do what everyone said and get rocky into the team!

Backs: Laird, Simpson, Bartel, Luke Mcdonald, Francis, Bonner Hartley, Hibberd

Midfield Fyfe, Ablett, Pendlebury, Kennedy,Rockliff, Liberatore, Mills, Parish Gresham, Polkinghorne, Mathieson

Rucks: Martin, Lobbe Cox

Forwards: Barlow, Smith, Franklin, D.Menzel, Wells, Kerridge Kommer, Willis

Obviously still trying for a replacement for Berger, can get Jamar? don't hate on the amount of injuries that Wells and Menzel have had between them in the last 3 years pls i know...

I did notice Grimley was a ruck DDP but i just got a mid/fwd and it worked anyhow!

Cookie Monster

Okay so in this whole process of getting Rockliff and looking for a replacement for Leuenberger I SOMEHOW replaced Martin with Deledio...

NOW! to get some cash i downgraded Deledio to Devon Smith, this weakens my Forward line even more making Barlow my number one forward. Smith number 2 and Buddy number three.

BUT, i somehow ended up getting rid of Berger and Jacobs and UPGRADING both to Stefan Martin and Matthew Lobbe because Lobbe plays better without Ryder anyways.

Now i won't notice it yet but i'm probably going to wake up without Fyfe or something this has been a mess, a hot, hot, mess.

Mat0369

Menzel to Simpkin frees up close to 40k. Another rookie downgrade like Polkinghorne to Marcon might give you the cash to upgrade Smith while still being able to keep Luke McDonald down back

Actually, he will have the same bench time. It's just he'll have fewer stints, but stay on the bench for longer each time. Remember even though there are fewer rotations, there will still always be 4 on the bench.
