who are these 5 sub 150k guys?

No one will know till teams announced Holz but there are a few to keep an eye on McPherson, Matthieson, Gresham at $144k,  Marcon, Petracca, Kerridge and Dunkley.

In saying that I currently have Mills at M7

till then Mills is a good pick.

people are saying he isnt and really he is a good pick untill others pop up.
Thisssss

If more cheap guys pop up then can swap Mills for them and have an extra 100k to play with.  But until then, he's staying in my side

+1

Mills also is my M7. Until the cheaper midfield options pop up there are not many better options at this stage than Mills IMO.

Holz

the question to me becomes if all named round 1.

Mills v Hopper v Parish if you had to pick 1 or 2 who would you go.

Gotta see how Hopper and Parish go first, so at this stage would have to be Mills

RaisyDaisy

Like I said, if you need 5 or so then go for it

I have Crouch at M7, so only need 4 rookies to fill out the line so there I personally don't see a need for Mills

Gresham at M8, with Mathieson, Cunningham and Polkinghorne on the bench, and then there are guys like Dunkley, Marcon, Petracca, Keays etc that could also get games

Grufflez

This thread is baffling, i suggest some Sydney forum research.
Unless 5 awesome JS rookies under 150k present themselves for round1 this guy is a lock or i guess you could run really deep with mid pricers instead.... ;D

I am more worried about Parish then Mills, my concern is i don't see Essendon winning a single game, and losing most weeks by 50-100 points.

GWS and GC did it

Swallow 79.5 average 21 games
Bennel 68.5 average 14 games
Coniglio 75.8 average 12 games
Greene 94.5 average 19 games

Nice stats to show that it is achievable but i'm still not sold.

obviously wait for NAB but this is the news from the intraclub (DT perspective)

"Parish has elite skills that will set him apart from other rookies and provide him with plenty of game time in 2016. Although he is just a little undersized there should be a good ceiling for what he can produce in Fantasy, he attended centres bounces and accumulated enough Disposals to warrant consideration in many Round 1 teams."

note his is 260k in AF

sammy123

i normally don't pick these pricey rooks. but if mills plays HB role and rum and carries outta defence then he must be a lock. very SC friendly role

He may not look like much, but he's a hugely productive footballer that actually impacts games. Undersized draftees have proven me wrong in the past so hopefully he does the same

Very similar to my thoughts, except l have Crouch at M8 and no Gresham. This is a very different set-up to that which l usually roll with round 1 ..........strange feeling indeed having such a heavy midfield so early.

Mills is in for me at the moment, one of the most impressive from the weekend

fanTCfool

Mills has played 75 minutes of footy for the swans, I think we need to calm down a little bit until we see more.
