BEGIN RANT

I want to buy AFL live pass and then stream it to my xbox so I can then watch it on my TV... BUT NO, the only way I can stream to my xbox is if I purchase a Foxtel Play account.  Which is $50 per month (the same price as buying foxtel)

I dont want the rest of the junk on Foxtel, I just want to watch the damn football advert free.  I can't justify $50 per month to only watch football but I would GLADLY pay $90 for AFL Live Pass... IF I could stream it to my xbox

My only suggestion mate would be to take the USB cable thingy from the xbox and plug it into your computer then watch the game through the tv using just AFL Live, that's what I do but i take it from a Playstation instead of an xbox. Problem solved. ;)

I have Foxtel now, but the way I got around it was with a mini usb to hdmi cable.  So I used my old Samsung mobile phone to play AFL Live with it hooked up to the big screen.  It's weird though, the cable only works on that Samsung phone, doesn't work with my HTC phone or my Google Nexus tab...

Surely there is a way to log in on your computer/laptop, then plug that into the TV and just tell the TV to show whatever the laptop is showing?

AFL Live only works on Mobile devices to stop this from happening...absolute crock of shower...maybe if you had a VPN then you could purchase the overseas version of AFL Live which DOES work on laptops, then its just a simple HDMI cable.

Wowwwwwww. That's so lame. Does it work on tablets at least? How are you meant to even watch the game on a phone they are so small! :-\

If you do have an Apple device and want to use airwatch to send it to your AppleTV device - NO SOUP FOR YOU!

It only sends the video or the audio (cant remember which one when I tested).

END RANT

This is a joke, they would sell SOOOOOOO many AFL Live Subscriptions is they did this.
In fact, if Foxtel allowed you to just get the Sport package, then they would sell a whole heap more.  If I could get just the Sport Package via Foxtel play then I would do that in an instant.

I'd have the sports package aswell mate, probably just over footy season but if it was reasonably priced i'd keep it year round. I like you think they are costing themselves a bit of cash.

I would get it for the NBA AFL so all year round. My net isnt that good so I dont really want to use NAB live.

The NBA on foxtel is shower.  You only get the "popular" teams - Lakers, GSW, Boston, New York, Cavs etc

I support Sacramento so you never get any games on Foxtel.  NBA league pass all the way - I just pay for the Sacramento package and its all good. I can feed it through my xbox without any drama's

LIFT YOUR GAME AFL!!!

The other option is you 2 split the cost and one gets the box and one watches it via the internet. Or you drin all weekend at whomever has the foxtel account

I have Foxtel and it is overpriced for what I watch.  Basically AFL, NBA, UFC, Suits, The Walking Dead, 30 for 30's and other ESPN specials, and Ghost Adventures is all I really watch.  The missus records all the cooking shows.

It is actually really good for AFL, terrible for NBA (but I don't have much time to watch games so its good enough for me) and great for UFC with all the free events.

or you could DL everything and watch it on delay
