Is he a viable F4? Currently have him and Wells at F4/F5.

Really need to wait and see what he does in the Preseason games for now, but he could be.
While he might be a fairly expensive mid-pricer, if he plays well, and plays on ball for the Bombers there is no reason why he couldn't get back to the 87 average he had in 2014.

At this point I wouldn't be picking him, but he does have potential to offer a reasonable long term F6 option, assuming everything falls into place for him.

Nope.. doesn't suit my structure atm..

works for mine but only as stepping stone.      if luey had no issues he would be my f4 starter and f6/7 r3 finisher

I'll happily eat humble pie if he proves me wrong, but this guy is the most over-hyped selection of 2016

I hope he comes out and scores well in the NAB to lure more and more in, because I cannot see him doing any better than 80ish, and at that price that's a massive fail (and gain for me :P)

Hang on to Wells, but throw Bird out of the nest.  I must admit I haven't followed his career very closely but, from the little I do know, I'm thinking he has little or no future even in Essendon's rag/tag army.

Southstorm

There's another Essendon player who can start in the forwards that is a much better chance of going 100+ this season. And he's cheaper too.

Very, very ditto                        :P

djbics

Has only ever averaged over 73 once in 8 seasons, obviously doesn't have anywhere near the competition for mid time as he did at Sydney, but will also have to shoulder a lot of the grunt work each week to help develop the kids.  Pass for me....

Think he means the Pie and your waistline mate.

How does he compare to, say, Matthew Suckling of WBD?
