And the games he missed weren't even his fault, if I remember correctly, a Collingwood player (Sidebum? No, doesn't sound right) whacked him right in the jaw and missed a few weeks suspended.

While he might be a roller coaster he should be a top 10 defender and good for a 90-95 average. He's also been fairly durable throughout his career, he was on a massive streak of consecutive games played before Wellingham broke his jaw and last year was the first time he had missed a game due to a soft tissue injury. It's a consistency factor.

And then he somehow got his suspension downgraded on a 5 year good behavior after they counted one VFL season since he didn't have AFL seasons....

It was a pretty big joke. It was 2012, Hammer also did his PCL early in that game after taking a huge grab.

It was Friday night footy and we smashed Collingwood in that game. It was  one of the only Victorian games of the season I didn't attend because I had work until midnight.

Thought I'd resurrect this thread to see if anyone was still keen on Simmo? Doesn't look like he's in as many teams now as he was at the start of the preseason!

I've had him the last few seasons and am struggling to find a reason not to pop him in. Under Bolton you'd hope he'd be back to playing less of a lock down roll, and perhaps even push up onto a wing?

He would also be a bit of a POD too..

Shaw and Laird locked in.

Its a hard call between Simmo, Houli, Rance and Bartel for the other Premium. Simmo under strong consideration though.
